The installation went smoothly and when the phone rebooted everything looks exactly like it was before. I used the non-clearing of cache and apps version and it appears to be successful!

Just wanted to say thanks again, DroidXcon. This is the thread that got me flashing like crazy. I've tried every rom you've packaged for Odin until SC2.6. On that one i got braver and just used clockwork. I'm not sure what else to say since I've not had one issue in any of the versions, but, i truly appreciate how willing you are to help those that do have issues. I've started following Adrynalyne's thread for progress but i still wait til you package it up to give the zip a go. I'm on SC2.8 now, first boot, and i feel it is even faster than before.

A member since October and this is your first post, i actually feel honored , Thank you so much for that. and im glad this all works for you. i try to make things as easy as possible for people, and although peoples phones are not my responsibility i feel that if i post a method then i should support it and help people as i would want to be helped, to the best of that persons abilities. I've tried loading it twice so far and both times I've loaded it everything seems to work fine for a few hours and then I lose all data connectivity. How can I fix that or am I doing something wrong?

Am I supposed to flash that entire tar file or open it up first?

is there any reason why it took me 10 times flashing for this to take? I was coming from the debloaded stock rom, and loading the super clean 2.8. Everytime i would flash in with odin, it would "pass" then, it would hang at the samsung flash screen. finally....i see purple honeycomb graphic goodness.

i was a bit terrified. i thought i bricked it...

pull the notification window down make sure data is checked off,,,toggle it off then back on

if that doesnt work, pull the battery out for about 10 mins

Yeah I've tried the toggling thing a few times already and again just now but it got me nowhere. I'll try keeping the battery out for 10 minutes or more and get back to you with the results.
