[Odin] Froyo leaked packaged custom ROMs w/root and clockwork **UPDATED**3/25

So I'm sure this has been asked a thousand+ times, but if I flash Super Clean version 2.4 - EB01 Froyo leak root+Froyo Clockworkmod, how would I go about getting my phone back to the factory defualt, with nothing installed but what came on it?

I used a DLO1package3.tar file to restore my phone back to stock after i bricked it....4 times :)

Are you saying that you want to go back to the original Verizon Stock ROM like when you purchased your phone, and with all of those apps and the such? If so, DroidXcon has a good link over here

Just go up a couple of posts and make sure that you've downloaded the DI01 file for the stock load.

standupdad: Yeah, thats what I meant. Thank you!

Also, one more question. Once I backup my apps with Titanium Backup, I can flash my phone back to stock, root it, and then use TI to put my apps back on the why they were right?

yeah but you will have to do them individually as some of the system data is eant for your froyo set up and will cause conflicts....there is also a froyo stock package, depending on your reason for rolling back

Great. Glad it worked out for you. Sometimes we all get so wrapped up in the complexities we forget to check the basics.

Just trying to earn my keep boss.

One more problem. Looks like it died again and I lost phone AND 3g. A reboot took care of the problem. This is going to suck if it's going to keep happening...

maybe you should just run the phone with one of that packages but no aftermarket apps for a couple days, to determine if its the phone or software that is cause the problem

oh yeah good idea, i heard that it can cause issues , scanning all the time in the background. you dont have a task killer installed do you

Yeah, not sure why I even installed it in the first place. I don't install any apps from warez sites or outside of the market usually so I don't have a real reason to worry about malware. If I do kill any apps I only use the built in Samsung task manager with the occasional reboot to keep things fresh.

I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks!

DroidX, you make a good point. When restoring backed up applications, there may be issues when going from one version of the OS to another. Subtle differences in drivers, libraries or other files and their locations for one version may not work in another. A re-install of the apk is the safest way for them to work. When restoring backed up application, their restoration is based on laying them back over the same install structure.

As with everything in life... your mileage may vary.

When running Super Clean, you shouldn't have to worry about those things that made you worry when running stock. I would have somewhere between 6 to 20 apps running in the background with the stock ROM, and most were Verizon apps. Going to SC, I don't care because they don't exist anymore.

Would I still like to see better battery performance? Yes. Do I already have it? Yes. Is it important to me anymore? Nope.

And because of your post about Lookout, I'm going to uninstall mine.

Thanks for the Subtle Nudge. Which is not the same as Subtle Butt. Don't ask, just Google it.

DXC, I just tried your root, had to realize it works a little dif, but after going through all the steps it gave me the same errors:

Successfully exploited, installing permanent root files and deleting temp fil

mount: Operation not permitted
/data/local/tmp/com.sh: cannot create /system/xbin/su: read-only file system
/data/local/tmp/com.sh: cannot create /system/xbin/busybox: read-only file system

Unable to chmod /system/xbin/su: No such file or directory
Unable to chmod /system/xbin/busybox: No such file or directory

What am i doing wrong? It seemed like cake when i did it before Froyo!!

i feel like you are mounting your sd card before you start, is that what you are doing ?

Ok lol, sorry sick or not you know i have OCD about not maintaining my threads

Completely understand. Hell, I have OCD about how my plates, silverware, and glasses are stacked.

You realize that we all have OCD. That's why we do what we do. That is... until something else comes along to take away our attentio... Oooh, Shiny!

Hey SuD, I think you are thinking of ADD. OCD is when you....Ooohh look a squirrel...........I'm sorry what was I saying?

well it shouldnt be mounting when it connects
try this
Settings>USB settings> ask on connection
you should be able to connect to the computer and it not mount itself

then do a battery pull and try again

Works awesome

I downloaded the superclean version 2.6 and it runs AMAZINGLY well on my verizon samsung fascinate, its like 10 times faster than normal froyo, much credit to Adrenalyne :D keep the updates coming, your the best!!
