I have a question for ya...and question is very simple...but very critical for me...

ppl call me....but i didnt even get a missed call......and they told me that their phone call directly goes to voice message.....man..this is not good....no very good....to losing phone's proper function....any thoughts??

can you call out? can you text and recieve texts? does gps work? does data work?

yes i can call out and can text and receive texts and gps works and data works fine

Baseband: S:i500.04 V.EB01

I started from SC 2.5 non voodoo and now im on SC 2.8 non voodoo
and never touched anything other than just a SC version flashing...

that sounds more like a verizon issue, would you like to go to a fix all stock froyo version and see if it works better?

Have him flash just he modem first. Save a lot of lost time if it works. Worked for me when I had that texting issue.

Battery status level shouldn't matter unless you're running something like Juice Defender that can prevent certain parts of your phone from working when battery levels get too low.

I've flashed my phone and had 5 and 10% battery power when it came back up because I was being lazy about flashing. So far as I know, there isn't anything to worry about except that you should always keep a good charge going since you'll never know if you'll fall down into a crevice for 127 hours and be in need of something to play with... or is that with which something to play? Can't end sentences with prepositions or something like that.

You shouldn't have to worry about your battery being fully charged when flashing just a modem through ODIN, especially considering you pull the battery from the phone when you flash things through ODIN. Adrynalyne is THE expert and in the first post of his superclean thread he recommends flashing ROMs preferably when the battery is fully charged.

The only thread that contains patches is Adrynalyne's superclean thread. Look in the first post, scroll down below all the superclean versions and you will see a list of patches. What patch are you looking for Dave? If it's not in that list, there is no patch for it.

Sounds like he may be including several things back in based off requests and suggestions from people. Just give him some more time. He posted in his thread if the testers find no major problems with 2.8.1 he will post it by tomorrow night.

Just wanted to thank everyone here for all the great info! After hours of reading the directions to root and upgrade (and I mean hours!, lol) I finally felt competent enough to take the plunge. So with a knot in my stomach, I followed the directions and, tada! I have a rooted SC 2.8 on my Fascinate! The directions you all put out there were fantastic! Just wanted to share a little thanks with you all!!

i am pretty sure you get endless force closes, if you boot at all.

Yeah, EA28. It's the wife's phone, so I'll see if she's prepared to start from scratch tonight, if I have to go that way. I'll post results.
