[Odin] Froyo leaked packaged custom ROMs w/root and clockwork **UPDATED**3/25

I have a one question....I have SC 2.9.1 non voodoo right now...Everything is working perfectly fine but I just have one issue it that I was playing same game with my friend and my phone is laggying while his phone is not.......and my friend has Moto Incredible stock phone and has 2.2 froyo. so my question is...

1. is that bc his phone has official froyo??

2. will this be solved if I install voodoo??

I can all but prove that SC will run more smoothly than official Froyo when it finally comes out. I would guess that there is an application or widget you have that is causing the problem, or you're running the game's installation from your SD card instead of memory integrated into the phone's hardware itself.

I've yet to see a laggy game on my phone. With that, let me know which game and I'll install it on my SC 2.9 and see what I can see for the sake of your complaint. Besides, I'd rather get paid at my job for doing this instead of what I actually get paid for.

I want to make sure that my install is exactly like your install. Also, if there is more than one version of the Pokemon game for that system, make sure you let me know which one you chose.

Currently playing Pokemon Emerald Version, GBA, and have ZERO lag or issues related to quality of play... I've never played the game, so I can't tell you what's good or bad, other than I should know when I have lag or poor quality game play.

Other than the game being exceptionally annoying with all of the text and cheesy music, and people stopping me everywhere I go to talk with me, and not able to nuke them out of my way, I'd say it's playing well.

No worries. I forgot that I never put gripper back on my phone... mainly because it kept my wife off the phone. I now have it back, so I need to make sure that she doesn't hear me playing ROMS.

My guess is that you have an application or widget preventing your from enjoying the game play the way it is meant to be. Even though it could be the emulator, all things equal, you should see great results on your Fascinate... with the occasional hiccup of sound or graphics since it really wasn't meant for the phone, but for all of what I played, nothing... except those damned people running up to me and stopping to talk. Where's a boomstick when you need one?

If you find out what it is that's causing your grief, and it's not my ex wife, come back and let us know what it is.

It doesnt exactly root the rom...the rom is already rooted. This just installs everything

rooting is nothing more then having a certain file in a certain folder that gives you administrative access....

think of the process of rooting like this

Process of rooting analogy
you go to your front door, the door is locked, you see a window slightly open so you force it open and unlock it from the inside, now you have access to get in and out

analogy for this odin method
you go to your front door, the door is locked, so you get a bulldozer,knock down the house, and you have another one built with an unlocked door

But if i install the sc 2.9 where it wipes the data and cache, will that clear the pictures/videos? If so, can i save them using the backup software or transfer them? the phone doesn't seem to be mounting to the computer to allow me to copy the vids over.

I installed the other sc2.9 and am having the com.google.process.gapps errors as i guess would be expected.

Only if video and pictures were saved to your phone, would they be wiped. If they are stored on your card, the card is left untouched. Though you may have some issues where some applications may not see all of the videos on the card that they saw before the wipe because of the way that they index what is in the directory that they save the files. This should be a rare thing, which happened to me, but I used a different player to view and play those files, so nothing is actually lost if you think about it that way.

Data wipe, like I did last night, in order to start theming my phone, cleans the phone for a fresh install of Super Clean, and is needed for the first round of installs. After that, then you can install the non data wipe versions from that point on, as I did from 2.2 on to 2.9.

Dear DroidXcon- YOU ROCK! Thanks so much for all the help, I've been having such a hard time getting superclean to work whenever dling directly from adrynalyne. Speaking of which, if I wanted to go with the voodoo kernal, any idea how I could go about that? Everytime I attempt to flash the voodoo kernal that i get from him using odin, it doesn't recognize it due to not being a tar file. I know i'm missing a step somewhere, please help!

Thanks glad you got it up and running... voodoo kernels need to be installed from clockwork not odin. i dont like support voodoo with odin.

First you should read about voodoo as much as you can , try this thread

then you need to install CWM ALL with odin
learn the controls
flash the kernel from clockworkwork then enable lag fix before you reboot
