[Odin] Froyo leaked packaged custom ROMs w/root and clockwork **UPDATED**3/25

I found it...it took said time was in the bar and tw calulator was added back in I have those now.

hey did you flash that rom 2.9.1 ? and how did it work for you

I just got a chance to read this and update to 2.9.1

I did a fresh wipe and 2.9 install this morning and only had the black screen reboot issue a few times today.

I'll shoot you a PM tomorrow afternoon and let you know how it's working.

If I keep having the sleep mode/black screen issue I'm going to wipe again and try to run stock Froyo.

I don't know if this is relevant to anyone else, but after flashing 2.9 all was well until I installed setCPU. Then I started getting black screens a couple of times and had to remove the battery to reboot. I removed setCPU and all was better again.

I don't know if the settings I had in setCPU didn't play well with my phone or if it was the program itself. I had it set to pretty much the default - just lowered the power maybe 10% when phone was resting.

the kernel is stock and does not allow for over or underclocking or volting, dont play with it :)

wait till froyo source code is out and custom kernels are made

i had a similar issue first time i was using odin, it not recognizing my phone... but my pc did, however my pc was recognizing it as a cd rom... simple fix was to enable usb debugging... then "poof" it showed up as a drive, and odin found me!

seems to be an issue with a lot of sammy users, USB DEBUGGING MUST BE ENABLED!

I just installed 2.9 super clean and everything went good but i cant install flash 10.1 and i cant updated google maps from the market it just tells me download was unsuccessful please try again can anyone help me thanxs

Try settings> applications> manage applications> market> clear data , clear cache, and uninstall updates if its an option

I am wondering is Odin akin to RUU and sbf? Ive been around android since the beginning and only have ever registered at xda and df...but there seems to be more Sammy info here so here I am lol...I picked this one up from a friend and he had an aosp rom on it but I wanted to give froyo touchwiz a go. I guess my question is why cant these updates/leaks be packaged as an update zip or CWM package? Or can they and I totally missed something?

i have never used RUU or sbf so i cant compare but cwm versions are below

if you are on build DL09 or up you will be able to use the same modem
but if you are on anything lower than that you will need to use Odin to flash the modem.

I am still having the sleep/black screen issue with a complete wipe and SC 2.9.1 (I did not install any apps after wipe and 2.9.1 to make sure it was a clean start and ensure the apps aren't my cause.

At random times throughout the day my backlight goes off to sleep and it will not turn back on or go into recovery (No functionality at all) until I pull the battery and then it turns back on and works like a champ until the next occurance.

2.9.1 did fix my reboot issue. Now if I can just get this dang sleep/power off issue fixed I'll be good to go.

I wiped again and flashed stock Froyo and will test it out tomorrow to see if SC is my problem.

build number SCH-I500.EA28.

All I want is a basic Froyo build....If i follow the instructions on the first page should I be alright with just EB01_DXC.tar.md5? Do I have to do anything before I start following the instructions on the first page?
