[ODIN] Official Froyo ED01 packaged custom ROMs w/Root - Updated 06/12/11

ComaVolt does not work with 2.0 it makes me sad, but I've had good luck with pbj -50 so far, but it's too son to tell about the battery life

I was able to boot up fine after flashing Comavolt on top of 2.0

Shark, is Comvolt compatible with Com Rom 2.0? I saw in one of the threads here (can't recall which one) that comavolt was not working with 2.0. I hope that's not true because I, like you, have had sod using any version of the otb kernel and undervolted more than -25 mv.

Comavolt has been working flawlessly for a week now(btw, thank you for advocating for it). My battery lasts for ~ 24 hours with moderate to heavy use now. I would have been happy just getting through the work day, but 24 hours! Awesome!

I flashed comavolt no problem on top of comrom 2.0.

But wyllic said it wasn't good. So im not to sure, it is worth a shot i would say.

I could not get a stable boot with comavolt but every other kernel worked fine, I'll give it another shot but something is hinky with it

CM7 looks great, cant wait to have a version of that which would be nice for day to day use. Would switch to it earlier but use my mms way too often

yep, he's getting real close. sms, calls, bluetooth working. Radio is communicating but not yet fully functioning. Once he gets radio working, he can test mms.

I downloaded the ED01DB_DOx_SHARK.tar file to the download folder on my computer. When I clicked on the oden 3 package, and clicked on pda, there was no such file in pda. Other files that are revelent are though.

I got it working, didn't like pbj -50 after a couple days so I'm back to my tried and true again lol

You have to extract the .tar.rar file which you downloaded. I recommend using 7-zip or WinRAR. After extracted you will end up with a .tar.md5 file which Odin will recognize.

i just updated to this newfangled comrom 1.3 to try it out, though it seems my old circle battery mod update zip isnt compatible with this. does anyone have an edify version of this?

I haven't seen a stand alone circle battery mod in Edify script. May want to check out the themes to see if any have a link to a circle battery mod in the OP. Other than that your only option is to flash CWM-recovery-all-3-30-fix in ODIN, then flash the Amend script circle battery mod using that recovery.

didnt work, it ended up leaving me in a force close loop hell. thank god for odin reflash

i guess i'll just have to hope someone makes that circle battery mod in edify

newb question, sorry. How come when i download the cwm recovery package and unzip, i don't get a .tar file. I just get a recovery.bin file that Odin doesn't recognize. Thank you in advance!

That's because the .zip file is meant to be flashed using CWM recovery. Odin uses .tar files for flashing. :-)

You don't unzip the cwm files. The only ODIN files you unzip are the ODIN rom packages in this thread. Any other kind of files you are going to flash, you leave in tact and flash as is. Zip files get flashed in CWM, and tar and bin files get flashed in ODIN. So if you have the CWM 3.0 file ending in .tar, you flash it in ODIN as is. If you have the CWM 3.0 file ending in .zip, you flash it in CWM. Look on your computer where you have the file. Look to the right under file type. If it doesn't say it is a Zip file, it is a tar file.
