[ODIN] Official Froyo ED01 packaged custom ROMs w/Root - Updated 06/12/11

Did not test battery or anything else with the different kernels. My only concern was getting the ODIN packages to work and the ROM to load up. For some reason ComaVolt is causing a FC loop at boot with the ODIN packages. Imnuts' kernel seems to work to allow a clean install and boot of the ROM with the ODIN packages. I still get great results when I run ComaVolt with my set up. So when I post the new packages I am going to clearly advise everyone to flash the kernel of their choice after they flash the packages in ODIN. My only criteria for choosing anything to include in the ODIN packages from this point forward is going to be the ability to get the ROMs to load and boot successfully.

Thank you for all your hard work...and help always.

I decided to flash back to stock (DI01 package) as I was on 2.6 and wanted to do a fresh install. Do I need to do the system update to Froyo before installing this package? I tried from straight DI01 and am not having any luck; having the same issue others are having, force close vibrations and not coming out of the "android" screen. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

fairgame are you trying to install one of the Debloated/Deodexed ED01 Packages, or one of the Com Rom Packages?

if you try park_timmy's method and you still don't have any luck...

Landshark mentioned a few posts back that some are having problems with the FC loop. It's attributed to the Comavolt kernel, and he plans on switching the packages to imnuts times infinity soon.

I would download the 1.3.zip to your sdcard and flash the ROM in CWM....for right now.. you can always flash Comavolt VOODOO after that.

Hoping Park_timmy's good advice pays off for you though!

The Comm ROM ODIN packages contain times_infinity's nonvoodoo ComaVolt kernel which is undervolted by 75mv across the board. It does not support further undervolting through voltage control. ODIN packages do not work with voodoo kernels, so I couldn't use nemesis2all's OTB kernel included in Comm ROM. But the instructions from the OP clearly let everyone know if they want to run a different kernel all they have to do is place the kernel of their choice on their sd card then flash it through CWM. So you can use the ODIN package, then flash nemesis2all's OTB v1.3 voodoo kernel after so you can use voltage control. I have always had great results with the ComaVolt kernel, so if you want to try it for a few days to see how it works with your set up, you can certainly do that.

Thanks landshark for the explination. I didn't realize the voltage control was only in the voodoo kernels. I have been tring to stay away from the voodoo kernels. I have tried imnuts 50 and 100 mv undervolt nonvoodoo kernels and i was stuck in the reboot loop on both of them. I'll give the ComaVolt kernel a try and see if it works on my phone. Cross my fingers. Thanks again for the help and all the work you have done on the ODIN packages.

Hey Landshark just wanted to says thanks for this odin install and build. I don't know what all you did but since flashing this build my battery life has improved dramatically. After about 8 hours i would have anywhere from 15% to 10% battery use with moderate use. Now after a good 8 hours my battery is only at 45%!! AMAZING. Keep up the great work me and my Fascinate thank you

All I did was follow DroidXcon's road map for putting all the pieces together in an all-in-one ODIN flashable package. The real credit for your improved battery life goes to the devs who created those pieces. I'm glad this is working better for your phone, and welcome to Android Central.

Landshark do you still have the link to the ODIN package with ComaVolt kernel and no data wipe? I would like to try the ComaVolt package since i have not been able to get imnuts kernels working on my phone. If there is no longer a link i'll try loading the kernel after i load the imnuts ODIN package. Thanks again for all the work you have done.

Can i go directly from 1.2 com rom to the debloated froyo rom at the start of this post?

Do i need to full data wipe? or cache/dalvik first? Or just use odin and push the debloated rom to it?

going from superclean 2.9.2

just a quick question. I want to try one of the community roms, with the updated radio. I used odin before so i am assuming that i use the nonvoodoo rom? my memory fails me. thanks again!

Just use the ODIN packages. Coming from CR 1.2 down to debloated probably best to use the wipe vesion, but your choice based on your comfort level.
