I'm going to have agree with that...seems like no, comparing it to other messages VZW sends out...the text just looks all wrong for the phone too.

Hi guys! first post here... but I found this today, it was in the last comment on BGRs 2.1 thing from last week, but it was dated today and the pic was posted 2hrs ago... (link would have gone here... but i don't have ten posts yet... lame)

It would seem to confirm that some test updates got pushed today... which would be a +1 for friday.

Well, whatever the motives are, look at the image. It looks like they copied and pasted the top portion from a legit VZW text, as all the text is faded.

LMAO .. dude, look directly under the A in "9:42 AM" ... the person who faked it couldn't even keep a straight line --- that's too funny. A picture of a droid drawn with crayons on construction paper would be more believable!

and another thing.....the icon box where someones picture id would be is blank....when u compose a message its blank but when u get a message from someone then it has the lil picture of the droid bot in it....u can clearly see the 2 diff tones of gray in that same area under the notification bar, all the letters and numbers look distorted except for the actual "text" stating he was going to "test" 2.1....wtf is wrong with this moron?

Yeah, check out the facebook picture link that machiz7888 posted on page 59, some dude claiming VZW sent him a text message that's he's been chosen to test the 2.1 update, and that it will be pushed to his phone soon.
