Official "I got my Infinity" Thread

Did everyone charge their battery for the full 8 hours before using it as the manual says to?

Just swapped out my Prime for an TF700 a Best Buy tonight. Now I'm just waiting for it to finish charging before I use it. The thought of waiting a full 8 hours is killing me...

First thoughts:

1. The "grey" color on the TF700 is very close to the "amethyst grey" color on the TF201. I've heard people say it's the same color, but comparing the TF700 to my TF201 dock, it does seem like the TF700 is a tad less purpleish.

2. The TF701 seems just a tad thicker in the hand than the TF201. It may just be that the thickness goes closer to the edges, whereas the TF201 was tapered more towards the edges. But it does feel a tad thicker, and yet slightly lighter to me.

3. The volume rocker is in a different position. So much for the two cases that I bought for the TF201.

Charge, darnit! Charge faster!

I'm writing from my new infinity! It took three hours to fully charge. I'm still getting used to typing (I didn't get the dock). I may download swiftkey and see how I like that on here.

Swiftkey is definately useful on this tablet (or any device really).

I downloaded SwiftKey 3 and love the divided keyboard in landscape mode. The regular keyboard is just too much of a reach in that mode but using the divided keyboard is great.

Killed my Xoom over the weekend. Went out and got the infinity and keyboard. All I need now is a good case

Got my new infinity yesterday and I'm already in love. The keyboard dock is much more useful that I ever thought it would be and I love that I can remove it.

My last tablet was just for play. I think I will actually be able to use this for work.

Crazy story, as my tf700+dock is on its way via air from New York.
I bought the tf201 6 months ago, unlocked... flashed cwm recovery... and started trying different ROM's.

Had an issue only once where the screen was black, but the tablet was booting, and functioning. So I had to take it apart, and low and behold the video ribbon was dislodged slightly.
After fixing that I continued normal use. I was impressed by the tf201 minus the wifi/Bluetooth fallout issue.
So, 3 weeks ago a friend begged me to buy my tablet, so I sold it to him with dock for $400. The next day he comes to me freaking out, saying somethings wrong with this tablet. Only because he is a friend did I even consider checking out this issue.
The tablet (tf201) would not power on, nor charge. Dock was the same, so I took the tablet apart again, and immediately noticed the smell of fried PCB, and resistors.
This dude asked for his money back!!! Right then and there I had to set him straight.

So the reason i purchased the tf700 is because (literally) someone paid me $400 to destroy my tf201....

Loosing a "friendship" to gain an awesome tablet FOR THE WIN!!!

Got mine from best buy, they had to order it. Didn't understand why it wasn't available in store. Took about a week.

I ordered mine from Office Depot online, 64GB and a dock. I got the tablet 2 days later, and the dock the same day, even though online said it would be another 3 days on the dock. Using it for work and play, and loving it. Still stumbling around with ICS, but I'm sure it will be second nature in a week or two.

I also picked up a USB port adaptor, and a Tuf Luv case. The USB port is in case I only have the tablet and need to print on a USB only printer, or transfer files at work (no WIFI in office). I have not yet received the Tuf Luv case, since it has to come from England, but I hope it's everything I am looking for.

Just got mine today! Had a Prime and was able to swap it out today at BB with no problem. So far so good, although I thought I had read that it had Jelly Bean already. No biggie.
