On the GS6. What's more of a deal breaker for you, no removable battery or no SD card?

I have been excited about the S6 for a while, but no SD card is the bigger issue for me. I would have to buy this off contract and for a 64G or 128G for both me and my wife is pushing $2k. That's crazy when the S5 was $600 and we could add all the storage space we wanted. I think they're taking away some of the best aspects of the Galaxy line and two of which are what made me jump to this phone. SD card and water resistance.

As a non-Native Android user, I see that having no SD is a deal-breaker. I came from Blackberry and I own a Passport; I already gotten used to non-removable batteries (but they're big!). This is because I would rather have my other files stored somewhere else leaving mores space for apps.

Of course, this can be mitigated by using an OTG adapter but nothing beats that's actually inside the phone rather than externally connecting it.

You know by now I'd mock some of the statements I've read in the past about how lacking an SD Card slot and removable battery is trying to be like Apple (as HTC was accused of doing). However, with regards to the removable battery, I personally feel that the removable battery might not be too much of an issue since Samsung has done such an amazing job of maximizing the battery life of their devices (i.e., Note 4). It seems that having anxiety of a smartphone lasting throughout the day is a thing of the past. If the new processor is as power efficient as I'm anticipating, the S6 will do just fine without the removable battery.

I used to think removable battery was a big deal years ago until I realized I would not have the need to carry around another battery. It's pretty rare for me to let the phone go completely dead as I can usually charge it at least for a few minutes here and there throughout the day. The sd card is a bigger deal as I like to put my photos on it and when I switch phones all I have to do is pull out the sd card. That being said assuming I can get a 128gb S6 edge I can manage without the SD card. Will just have to pull the photo's, videos, etc. off before I sell it. Yes a pain but not a deal breaker.

If you have a lot of money then fine the 128 G is fine. Me i dont, this is where the SD card is a cheap and great alternative to add more memory. Is Samsung getting greedy like Apple? Overcharging for products because they know fan boys on either side will just buy them?

Neither. I don't use SD cards, and after having every iPhone made without a removable battery, I've never seen this as a big deal.
Of course it may be because I am older, I am not going to watch movies on a 5" screen.
I'm not a teenage girl, so I only check facebook a few times a day, if at all.
And, being an audiophile, music in the car (or through a phone) is just noise to me. I'd rather just listen to talk radio.

I won't call it a deal breaker, but If they didn't upgrade from the same old icon pack from 2008, I will be bummed a little.
The HTC m9 looks horrible with its 2 tone gold and silver ( and don't really care for black phones ) so its already out of the question as well.
May stay iPhone 6+ for a while and see what else hits later this year. Note 5.

This is for my wife so the non removable battery isn't a big deal. In fact she will probably love the wireless charging. BUT the SD card is really bad. I just got a 128GB sd card because she had filled her 16GB card and I gave her my old 64GB card. It's time for a new phone for her and I haven't seen what else is available since I didn't think they would axe the SD card. Guess I better start looking.

Not crazy about either omission, but if I had to choose it would have to agree with the majority in that no SD card slot would make me look elsewhere. I had been considering an upgrade from my Note 3 to the S6 but now I at the very least may wait to see if they do the same to the Note 5. I use my SD card option a LOT more now than I did when I had unlimited data and could just access my files from the cloud but that just doesn't work with the metered data options that I can actually afford. I also have had an instance in Hawaii a few years ago where my phone was damaged and had to be replaced. In those instances, had I not had the option to store things on an SD card, I would have lost everything.

When I hear that this phone will have wireless charging, no SD card slot, no removable back, etc., I would have in the past, tended to think that it was to make the phone MORE water/dust resistant as well, but according to most, that is not the case either. So then I think about the rumors about TW bloatware being scaled way back or eliminated, and I now am leaning towards the notion that the loss of application promotional revenue such as Flipboard/My Magazine being front and center, is being made up by charging more for internal storage options.

We shall see shortly.

See that's the problem here people who didn't care about removable batteries and micro sd cards are already customers of other phones but those that did chose Samsung because they alongside LG were the only ones being customer friendly.

I don't care if the phone has a 4000 mah battery or 256 gig internal storage..sd cards and removable batteries are a must, period. They are alienating their existing customer base here for a few new customers which already have their phones...big mistake and it's like a penalty shot for LG if they nail it with the g4 Samsung the s6 will be in big trouble.

We shall see what Samsung has to offer.
I definitely hope it has a SD card slot because I really like what I've seen so far.

If it doesn't have the SD card option, I might have to look else where or wait to see what the GS7 has to offer.

Keep the g3 features improve the screen, add a sd 810 and boom .

That's the beauty of a removable battery even if the screen resolution consumes more..Just put in a new fully charged one.
