One UI: Great features. Terrible looking

How is it stupid ?
It gives you your first 5 or 6 messages , if want to look at older ones just scroll up all in one motion. At the top where it says messages it also gives any unread messages under it, I think it well thought out , also it has contacts at the bottom if you choose send a new message to someone all with just your thumb.

Because I prefer to have access to my information first. And I have never found using my thumb all that comfortable beyond just scrolling.

But you do. That's the whole point of it. The information that is most recent, which you are most likely to go back to, is the easiest to reach with the new layout. Before, if you wanted to reply to a new text, for example, it would be all the way at the top of the screen, whereas now it's about halfway down.

From my experience Johnston, I'm sure you know me around the forums I own many different phones all these manufacturers do something your going like or your not , take example I didn't like how the pix3 gestures were implemented and still don't but I do like that phone alot so either I dealt with or sell it and they didn't leave the option like my pix2 to use buttons. Android Q suppose to change Google gestures once again probably to full gestures from rumors . Maybe that next Android version you'll like better and I won't.

No, I have access to less information because the app is using about 2/3rds of the available screen space. And it really isn't any easier for me to access or reply than before, but I usually use 2 hands.

Actually, I only know you from the Note 9 forums.

I get what you are saying, but I don't have the luxury of selling my phone right now and there are a number of manufacturers that I do not have access to.

Understandable, hope something works out for you .
