So I got the Google Pixel because the main thing for me is timely updates. I hate waiting 6 months for a new version of Android (or sometimes nearly two years like my old Moto X Play which is still on Marshmallow).

I've been looking at the OnePlus 3T or 5 and I'm wondering if they'd still be good choices as far as updates go. I get the feeling they're pretty fast but I've seen otherwise.

Thanks!

They tend to get a beta out quickly, official update shortly after that and are generally faster than most OEM's on the first major update. Track record for successive updates isn't as good so far, but hopefully that will be improving.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure I understand what you mean though when you talk about "successive update" though.

Also, in the past, have they supported at least two versions of Android like most OEM's do?

The OnePlus 2 they did not do that for. The OnePlus 3 and 3T we don't know for sure yet, but they probably will get Android O. My best guess on the OnePlus 5 is that it will get O and N and then there will be custom ROMs available for P and beyond.

Great thanks! :D
