See? There you go! ATT gave me a nice new SIM card when I traded in my Moto X. None of this APN programming stuff...Haha mine are -- https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-2090#subhead1
You probably don't need to if you're getting 4G (LTE) -- My SIM card just had the older APN settings for T-Mobile so it was only looking at HSPA. Once I swapped it over it went to LTE.

Currently at 26% and the results are great. I will post screen shots later once the battery really gets low.
Ok, got the other way figured out.
Download Quick shortcut maker on the play store.
Open it, change 'incremental search' to ' normal search' and search for Access.
You should get a Settings option that you can expand. Look for one labeled Access Lock and click on it.
You can then try to see if it works out just make the shortcut.
honestly my battery has been terrible since I did this. haha
I'm not sure how that happens? Haha
Lithium-ion is a low maintenance battery, an advantage that most other chemistries cannot claim. There is no memory and no scheduled cycling is required to prolong the battery's lifeOne thing I've learned from this forum is that you should charge your phone at around 40%... not lower. This will extend the life of your battery.
no clue.. I did uncheck keep awake too.. so I checked all those and kept location off. I'll see what happens next full charge. My battery lasted the least it's ever lasted though, by like 6 hours.

I haven't had to do a thing to optimize the battery life on my G4. When I had my S6, I had to cripple the thing (turning off wifi, email auto sync, turning down screen brightness, etc), whereas my G4 isn't crippled. My battery on the G4 is at ~50% by the time I go to bed after taking it off the charger at ~7 am.
I'm no expert, and that makes sense. I just know there's been a few people saying that going too low consistently will harm the battery. I'm glad that that's not the case; just one less thing to worry about![]()
Excellent, good to hear. Are you using auto-brightness?
Where are the Gmail sync settings? looking for the time period to sync such as 15 min, 30 min etc...?
