Order Problems (Canceled, On Hold, Pre-Orders, etc..)

I got a random cancellation email this morning on my pre-order. After calling VZ and spending 30 minutes trying to figure it out they could see no reason at all for the cancellation. I believe the CSR that has been arguing with me over email about the random loyalty discounts other people are getting while as a 10+ year customer did not pulled the order on me. Fine folks they have working there at Verizon.

I was able to pre-order again with the same 7/9 ship by date but I am back of the queue for actual inventory shipping at this point.

I just preordered and I got an order confirmation. Is there supposed to be another email with terms and conditions?

You should have had to call another number after you did the pre order to listen to a recording of the terms and accept them.
 
The email that requests that you approve the terms and conditions typically come the following day after you place your order. Day when the order is placed you get the confirmation email of the order only, no request to call in or go to myverizonwireless. I don't think many people are having issues, so far I think only 3 of us in this forum.
 
When I placed my preorder there was no discount applied other than the subsidized price. I purchased the Tbolt last year on a 1 yr contract, and I see that it says I'm eligible for a discount to upgrade. I asked why I don't have a $30-$50 discount on my preorder and they said that they did away with the NE2 discounts earlier this year. Am I out of luck or is there something missing here?

I had similar circumstances with my upgrade. MyVZW showed I was upgrade eligible with a discount so I decided to go ahead with the order. When I didn't see the discount I called CS and explained the situation. CS said the discount didn't apply to pre ordered phones but they gave me a credit for $30 to cover the upgrade fee.

That was incorrect. Ne2 discounts certainly do count for pre- orders, as stated throughout this forum.
 
Thanks for the link but its dead. At least it is for me.

No worries though, I just called CS and had them give me the order number as well as the link to check the order status. At least I feel more comfortable now that the order is in the system with no problems.

Yup that link was dead for me too .

Just in case tho others find that out too:

All you have to do tho is while on the vzw website is type orders in their search box, and that brings the link back up so you can track the progress of your order ;)
Edit:
Be sure to enter your Pre-Order Confirmation Number and your last name tho when checking not the order number

Should I be concerned that neither of my orders show up on the order status page? I just ordered yesterday, so maybe it takes a while? If I go to my account, upgrades are greyed out for the two lines I preordered.

ETA: Never mind, I had to enter the pre order number in the box, not the order number. They both come back with bring processed.

Well guys and gals....just learned that both my pre orders have totally been erased from the Verizon system. According to them "sir you never approved the pre orders". I told the young lady to read through her notes, "oh, sir please hold, I need to go speak to my supervisor". "sir we need to pre order again, because the system keeps kicking out your orders, so I would like to walk you through the entire process". In other words I was ordering it wrong. Nope. They entered both orders as it was done over the phone, both times.

Now I have absolute no pre orders with Verizon for this phone. They are also taking zero accountability, they cannot push the phone to a pre order date of the 6th, "first come first served basis". Even though I had already done this twice over the phone w/them. The store was no help either.

Looking into other options, but I think VZ is about to get rid of me with a swift kick in my a$$. Even their supervisors don't know what to do about this issue.
 
Verizon Cancelling Pre-orders. Anyone Else?

So how many others who are grandfathered into unlimited data have placed a pre-order for the GS III (iconic) cancelled? I had my order placed at 0701 on 6-6 and then on the 12th received email and text confirmations of my order being canceled and then again on the 14. Magically no one at Verizon can tell me how or why my order was canceled and because there is a "pending" pre-order my upgrade credit is unavailable. I have spent the last week trying to get this resolved and was told today by an associate in store that according to Verizon IT the earliest I will get a resolution is on June 29 a day after I will lose my unlimited data plan. So am I the only one or are others finding themselves in the same boat as me.

I preordered a little later than most and ordered on the 16th. I have not received anything except the confirmation email for my pre order.
Hope they help you faster than that! That is pitiful if they don't.

I Preordered on the first day as well. I would go bonkers If my preorder was canceled by verizon like that. I definitely would jump ship to another carrier.

Hopefully you saved your email showing your preorder and printed it, and did the same showing cancellation. I would fight that.. in the mean time preorder another one, if you end up with two you can return one.

Better not cancel a damn thing. I preordered exactly @7am. Hoping this is just a B.S rumor. It will be WW3 if that ever happens. VZ would catch fire
