Hello, firstly I will admit my n00b status and hope that you take it easy on me haha. I have a rooted HTC Thunderbolt and would like to keep it that way, but lately the new OTA update for Gingerbread has been raining on my parade because of its constant powering down and trying to reboot my device to update, resulting in me having to constantly restore my phones old backup (have to do this about 2 times a day because of this stupid update).

I've been trying to research what to do and on some forums it was said to use Titanium Pro and freeze the updater, which I have done, and I am still having the same issue. Others have vaguely said things along the lines of reloading stock software, update and reroot. Please help?

Go into clockwork recovery and flush the cache. Then go into /etc/security folder and rename the otacerts.zip file to otacerts.zip.bak or something similar to prevent future ota updates.
