Which makes the whole endevour wasteful. You're much better off simply rooting on 2.1, flashing the 2.15 radio and installing the already rooted 2.2 ROM. It is now confirmed all the md5's match etc.

Super frustrated. I have unrevoked3 and unrevoked forever (s-off) on my phone. I cannot remove the alternate bootloader from the phone and cannot get back to the default HTC software. I just want to install froyo. don't care about root or anything at this point. PLEASE HELP!

1. Download the PB31IMG.zip and place it onto your SD card. Make sure your card is formatted FAT32 or it won't work.
2. Turn your phone off.
3. Reboot your phone into hboot. (hold down volume down + power)
Now once your phone get into the boot loader you will see a blue bar show up on the right side of the screen. It is checking and verifying the PB31IMG.zip file.
4. It will ask you "Do you wish to install" press volume up to select yes.
5. It will flash the file do it's thing and then ask if you wish to reboot your phone. Press volume up for yes.
Once your phone reboots you are back to a 1.00 radio stock non-rooted 2.1. Await your update.
You try this?
Yes i did. my bootloader is different for some reason. it does not ask if i want to install. I have to select recovery and then I can select to install the zip file. Either way, I tried that, but it errors out. no luck.
Installed without a hitch so to speak. On the reboot after all was done it stuck and held on the new Droid Eye. After about 10 minutes I decided I'd pull the battery (it wouldn't power down) and restart the phone.
It started up and went past the Eye with no issues. So far, it seems fine and I've noticed some speed improvements in areas where you need to pull up large lists of things such as apps. Nothing else seems a miss, all the data and programs still there and the flashlight will actually blind your co-workers ... I had to test this personally.
Dang, that and the link below are the only 2 things I've seen on here (& I have not tried either one of them fyi)
