OTA Updated to 4.3, now reboots after Pattern Correctly Entered :(

I finally accepted the 4.3 OTA update (from 4.2.2), now I can't get past the (pattern) lock screen. It seems to boot and show the Nexus "X" logo. If I enter the pattern incorrectly and press "forgot pattern" then It doesn't seem to want to accept my email/password. Its worth mentioning that I noticed SwiftKey doesn't "long press" correctly, it now happens a lot quicker. I had to very quickly tap each key to avoid getting the long press alternative.

I have powered the device off a number of times and that didn't help.

Any ideas short of a factory reset.

Can I manually apply the update without losing all my data?

I think a factory reset is the only solution in your case.

I ended up doing a factory reset but that still had problems so I flashed 4.3
