OTA_Supersonic_3.29.651.5-3.26.651.6 [official update]

Crap. Yellow triangle. Sigh.

i even tried to manually install it through clockwork and still no go

i guess our only choice is still flash the rom from xda?

[ROM] OTA_Supersonic_3.29.651.5 [ROOTED] [DEODEXED] [SIGNED] - Page 3 - xda-developers

btw i have no idea how to do this

seems simple though but we will lose all apps and settings

Put the zip on root of sdcard meaning not in any folder
Boot into recovery
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache
wipe dalvik cache

Flash zip

I rescind my previous mention of web not seeming different, really notice a huge difference, VERY smooth.

Thought phone fast before, this is schweet

me 2 even though it was a HARDWARE limitation not software lol

Regardless of the limitation I'm just glad it was fixed. My friend picked up a captivate a week ago and the smoothness was unreal compared to my Evo. Now they're exactly the same, just sick. It almost looks fake it's so slick. I'm a happy camper here.

Installed. It was similar to previous updates, expect a hang for a few minutes on the "4G" screen. Once it was complete, the improvement in "snappiness" of the ui is evident. I particularly noticed improved scrolling in Handcent and a nice little boost to Asphalt 5 (just twirl the car around on the showroom screen and you'll see what I mean). The actual game play isn't affected dramatically, but it is definitely a bit smoother than previously. Overall, looks good.

I just wish they had fixed the animated circles when refreshing the RSS app!

Damn I am getting the ! triangle, but unrevoked twitter page is saying that the OTA should go thru

Can I install the update even though I'm rooted and I'm not running a Rom just the stock sense. I only rooted to use the roam only patch.

I had a hell of a time rolling everything back to stock earlier, o I never bothered to set it back up after getting there. Doing it now after OTA, and the system seems faster.

If you used Unrevoked:

I think you have to install the stock recovery image first, reboot, then install the OTA. Then you can reinstall Clockwork recovery or whatever and get root back. Trying now...

Stock recovery here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=7878505

UPDATE: No more yellow triangle! I installed the stock recovery, rebooted, downloaded OTA and installed. It's currently installing and no triangle...

WORKED! See my later post in this thread for details...I kept root and got the OTA to install.

Same here. To me, this is bigger than getting the Froyo. I was kinda underwhelmed with the new additions from the Froyo update after waiting for the OTA over several days. Very happy with this update.:)
