One or more of your apps are holding a lot of data or cache. Go through them and locate t culprits.

Do you have Netflix by chance and have the app set to DL episodes and such to the local storage? (See Netflix app settings for this setting)

Did you go into Other Apps and sort by size to see what is taking up so much space?

go to other apps. it will show how much storage it is taking. click on it to open and choose clear cache

I cleared the cache on all of them. Biggest one was Chrome but didn't make a noticeable difference.

Anyone know of malware or ??? that could be causing this?

I really don't want to but I think I'll wipe my phone and start over. This is ridiculous to have to mess with this numerous times a day. Don't want my phone to quit working either.

Open other apps, then open each individual app. If you go through all your apps that way you should be able to see which apps arr holding many gigs of data or cache. Having then found which app has masses of gigs it's up to you to decide if you want to delete the app or delete the data.

Did that already. It's what I was talking about earlier.

I picked up a new SD card today, 128gb and working on copying from old SD to new right now so I can get a backup onto one of them then plan on wiping the phone. Gonna try installing as many apps as I can to the external SD.

This is going from bad to worse and getting more scary all the time. Now I'm getting an error that I can't get any text messages because it's full.

I can't even get a backup which I am trying to send to my new external SD card or Dropbox. And all I keep getting when I try to do my data backup I get an error message that there's not enough room left so it quits.

I'm using my Backup Pro.

I ordered it through TMO going to call their tech support this morning. Right now still scrambling to get my stuff copied to my PC.

They're replacing the phone. Wish they'd send me a Note 8 or 9 by mistake would be nice!
