Sorry, I was tired of people always assuming that everyone should just Google the topic and immediately understand what needs to be done. I am fairly knowledgeable when it comes to technology, but I am new to rooting mobile devices. I did use Odin to flash my Samsung Note 2 SGH-I317 (At&T) using this guide here
:::Beginners Guide:::How To Root the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (the Safest,Easiest and Easiest methods) | HowTo.Teachers. I get that I am flashing the ROM, but I have deleted some of the bloatware that AT&T put on the phone and was told that I could not update it successfully until I returned it to the stock version of Jelleybean that shipped with the phone. Are you suggesting that all I need to do is back up all my apps and contact data and re-flash an updated ROM and that will work? If so, 2 things, how would I back up my contacts and where can I find a compatible version of Jellybean 4.2 to flash? Thanks for your help.
