Over the air update this morning...

Am I the only one to whom the google latitude just dissapeared?
Not a big problem but just something I realized this morning after the update

I noticed that my Google maps, navigation, and places shortcuts disappeared and I had to re-add them to my home screen.

New keyboard is great. I'll see if it fixed my BT bugs tomorrow. No issues so far. Not rooted.

Agree the new keyboard is a ton better than the old one!

For all the people who are having communication failure just go and get att to replace your sim card. I had that same problem too when I first got my phone. Swapped sim cards and have not had a problem since.

It's not just for 4.0.1 but for all ICS versions. I asked the rep about this when we chatted since I noticed it as well.. Nothing yet here in the Bay area or for my red phone though

Except we're on Android 4.0.4 not 4.0.1...I think the rep was kind of confused. Many of those listed items have been on the device since day one...

I have been running into some problems since the update. Sometimes when the phone goes to sleep and locks itself I have problems when I go to unlock the phone. When the homepage comes back up after unlocking the screen or swiping the screen I often have the middle 3 buttons missing at the bottom of the screen and the phone is frozen. Sometimes it begins working again after a minute or so, otherwise I will sometimes get an error that TouchWiz crashed.

I did not have these problems until the update.

I am having the same issues. Spent some time on the phone last night with ATT. The issue seemed to disappear while on the phone with them, so we figured it somehow fixed itself. But immediately after hanging up, the issue reappeared.

roadrash & njmillre.. you seem to be the only two reporting this issue. Am curious what color your phones are and when you got them. Also my local ATT store says that ATT is rolling out the update by region so swapping the microSIM won't make any difference.. Am going to check some other GS3 forums to see if the issues are widespread rather than risk installing the update when my phone is working very nicely. The Samsung chat tech told me that not installing the update doesn't impact the ability to get the JB update when that's released. And needless to say since that will be a BIG one, I'm going to play wait and see until I install that one too..

There does not seem to be too much negative chatter for an update that's been downloaded by a lot of people. When I had my BB, there were always a whole lot more negative posts on whenever there was a BB update on Crackberry than what I'm reading on this update!
FYI, I have had no issues with this update at all.

Is everyone having LED issues? For me it now seen only works for email and text. I find it weird that hardly anyone mentions it. Aside from that Everything else seems to work fine.

Well for me it always blinked except for go sms. Now its just the ones I mentioned. Other apps just appear now with sound and vibration but no LED. I'm tempted too just do a factory reset to see if it helps but I'm holding off for now

I seem to have lost the ability to install Clockworks Mod. I've installed it multiple time before without issue. It seems to install now, but when I hold Vol up, power, and home, I get the Android System recovery. Because of this, I'm unable to root.

Well if it does it probably means I'm SOL in getting my LED back which sucks because I liked the LED a lot

Update fails to install on my rooted I747. Short of un-rooting the phone is there a workaround to get a successful install? TIA!
