Overclock set to 806 all the time

I overclock at 825mhz but I wouldn't start a new thread to tell anybody?

I used to run at 806/806 and my battery life was very good. But it uses excessive battery when streaming music, which I do a lot. So now I'm at 480/787. Still snappy. Better battery life.

I'm currently running 600/806, I can run 825mhz stable but 806mhz seems to work well.

Been running at 825mhz overclocked since February. Never had a restart. And now with IHO Rom, I got 3 days battery life. Gonna be hard leaving this phone when the time comes.

Do you turn your phone off over night?

I just recently switched to IHO builds that use BobZHome's kernel, so I haven't tried OCing above 806 MHz. I may have to see whether my phone can handle 825 now. In any case, I was at 806 min, 806 max for quite awhile until I just recently switched to 480 min, 806 max with the InteractiveX governor. Battery life seems slightly better (I'm pretty sure it should be in theory, since the voltage goes down when the clockspeed is at or below 480 MHz), and performance hasn't really taken a hit.

Believe it or not I've never had a reboot running at 864. I like to keep it at 806 to conserve baterry life though.

What is a good program to test oc stability? I am using th e stock oc program in the BobZhome iho.

The minimum setting is where the phone idles. If set above 480 it can possibly cause your phone to use more battery juice and cause your phone to run hotter. Anything over 480 and I would think about installing a battery temp widget. Also the real sweet spot of most custom ROM's is 768,787max-480min. This is where you will get the best battery off charge times and run the coolest. At wake up my phone is at 17C-19C and when it was 98degrees with 98% humidity outside it wouldn't get above 41C while surfing the web. Heat is the enemy of any electronic device. The cooler you can keep it,the longer it will last.
As far as stability testing I'm kinda just getting into that, but use "stabilityTest v2.3. It has a Classic stability test, CPU+GPU stability test, and a scaling stability test.

i run a main at 729/245 ondemand with harmonia 1.5 and get pretty good battery life :) i also run these profiles: screen off 245/245 priority 100 conservative, charging 600/245 priority 95 ondemand, temp >40 C 480/245 priority 90 ondemand and battery <15% 480/245 priority 80 conservative

i find that sometimes when i wake my phone up, its a little slow until it gets going. is that because the min speed is too low?

I would say yes. Its been discussed before using profiles for the clock speed isnt as useful now as it use to be. The processors are smarter and really dont need to be governed that much. I would set it for one speed and let the phone do the rest.
