pda hotspot for wifi

Can anyone explain the difference between the free version of pda Net free wifi hotspot? And the updated version that you must purchase. I dont have wifi and I use the hotspot via my cell phone to connect to my laptop for internet use. Lately anytime I watch a video or attempt any download, the wifi stops. Then I have to turn off my cell phone and turn it back on and activate the wifi hotspot again. Is there a free version like PDA net/foxfi hotspot. Or if I purchase the updated foxfi 2.10 update will it still shut off when I access any video on the internet? I am new at the whole wifi hotspot thing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
