Phone dead and verification gone to that number so cannot retrieve

My Daughter dropped her phone down the loo and it is not working. She tried to logon to Snapchat on her Ipad but need a verification code which has been sent to the phone that's not working.
Is there any other way to retrieve the verfication code?

Ask snapchat, I had that problem once with another app and they unlocked my account

Or, if her phone uses a SIM, you can put the SIM into your phone temporarily and get the verification code sent to your phone.
