Phone selling out?

I am thinking about the same, 1 HD dock and 1 Standard dock, maybe a spare battery because an extended wont fit into my otterbox I am getting when I pick it up and still dancing around the idea of the lapdock. On the matter of Extended did you guys see that the battery is a 2880mAh battery?

I am planning on ordering at midnight on Wednesday evening if I can. I just hope the things on the website. I am going to try the moto store first and then Verizon website. If i order it at midnight when would it be delivered?

Friday...it would be shipped on Thursday and make sure you put in OVERNTE in the shipping code for free Overnight shipping. I hope we can order it then...when I ordered my Storm2 I stayed up until 2 am and could never order it, while other people were able to order it...I live in the Pittsburgh area...I got on at 7 am and was able to order with no problem.

Yeah, that extended battery is HUGE. It could last like days on a single charge lol.

It's huge but the pictures of it and the cover look good on the phone, not like that "hump" the Thunderbolt has!

Yeah just a tiny bulge extra to the phone with it in. Looks good!

Doubt it bet I can kill it 7hours. And kill stock in 5 hours. To me battery life isn't a big deal
And I don't plan to argue battery life because if your getting 10hours on a phone or more on battery saying average usage is 6 hours about there then ur noting using your phone.

I did say "could." That means if you were trying you "could" get a few days. If I got that I bet I could get the battery down to 10% after a day and a half.

The corporate store rep who I made an appointment with wouldn't tell me exactly how many units they had, but he said I should be fine if I come in during the morning but he expects they will run out by late afternoon. Not sure if this helps but this is a central CA store.

I'm confused...I know we can purchase on Verizon's website, but what do you mean by the "moto store?" Do you mean directly from Moto? Are you paying full-price?

Man. This is making me nervous. It seemed like it wouldn't be an issue but these fisrthand accounts of reps saying they will sell out (even if inaccurate) isn't a good thing to me, not heading to VZW until after work ~6pm. :'(

Even if you are selling something that shouldn't sell out you tell the customers that you will so sales are better because of the hype you are building.

I just can't see a phone that has been in production and is being built up like this an a store only gets 5 units. That makes zero sense from both a logistics side and a supply-chain side. So, in my mind you're probably right.

I'm still getting nervous though.

I see some stores only getting 5 (Small Corp Stores, and 3rd Party stores) but I have to believe that larger stores will get much more. There was a post of Droidlife a week or so ago that stated that there were 100,000 initial phones availaible for launch. In Feb of this year there were 2200 Verizon stores nationwide. Without taking telesales and vzw.com into the mix that would give each store 45 phones each. Now give telesales and vzw.com 20,000 each and each of the 2200 stores would get 27 phones each.

Do I think they will sell out? Yes I do

Do I think all store in your area will sell out on day 1? No I don't, I bet it will take a week if they don't get another shipment.

I stopped in at the local corporate store today and the representative I talked to thought they would be getting 30 phones. In a city of 80,000 people, I am making sure I am there first thing to get one. I couldn't imagine chancing going into Costco with the free accessory deal and them only having 5 phones.
