I made a rhubarb up-side-down cake to bring to friends for dinner. The view from their place was worth the effort. Puget Sound and the Olympic Mts.

Alas, I will likely not be posting any further in this thread because my beloved 3 XL suddenly died this morning.:'( Was working just fine last night, but this morning wouldn't turn on, regardless of how long I pressed any combination of Power, Vol Up, and Vol Down. Tried different plugs, and also wireless charging. My Google Preferred Care expired in March.

I started using my backup Galaxy A32 5G (which I had gotten free through T-Mobile after trading in an old Nexus 5X). Although the phone itself is quite decent (especially for the price), I can already tell this is not going to tide me over until the Pixel 6 satisfactorily -- the camera is extremely mediocre. I think I might actually get a 3a XL, which goes for about $85 refurbished at Daily Steals -- still gets updates through 5/2022. Google Photos backups are only unlimited for Storage Saver on that phone, so I think I'll just have to bite the bullet and start using my Google Drive space with the Original Quality backups.

Anyway, it's been fun sharing my snaps with you here, and very rewarding seeing everyone else's photos! I'll still be following the thread (can't miss all of those great Seattle shots from @FF22!), but perhaps I'll start posting some pics over in the 3a photos thread soon. And you can be sure I'll be in a Pixel 6 photos thread before long!

Oh, no! The end of an era! So sad! Glad you have a plan in place to tide you over until the beautiful Pixel 6 line débuts!

I am sorry to read that. Don't want to keep with us and replace with same, huh? (g)

I will oblige as I finally did another hike...

Daily Steals has a new 128 GB 3 XL for $230, but I figured I'd go with the ridiculously low price of the 3a XL. Granted, it's a refurb with a much shorter warranty, but I don't anticipate having this phone for too long. Most importantly for me, the camera is pretty much the same (although there might be a couple of missing features -- I can't quite remember all of the differences between the 3 XL and the 3a XL).
