Pixel 3 Battery reports

I realized that Google switched to Li-po battery when they first had Li-ion battery. Let's see how things going.

Pixel 2 uses a Li-ion battery
Pixel 3 uses a Li-po battery

From my reading:
Lithium ion batteries have higher energy density and cost less than lithium polymer. Lithium polymer batteries are lighter weight and have improved safety . However their cost is higher (30% average) as compared to lithium ion. Lithium ion batteries tend to lose charge with ageing even when not used, while Li- Polymer batteries retain charge for a longer period even while ageing.

I really wish we had a larger battery, that is about the only thing I am missing right now.

Wait
I posted what I thought Google should be of done.
Making the phone 1/4 " taller and a little thicker.
Allowing for the removable notch.
A 4000 ah battery.
6 gb RAM.
Make the phone 128gb storage standard, and room for a SD card.
Chartreuse green, purple and like blue color phones besides black and not so white.

People would of been beating the doors down

Mr Mike said that was my specs.
I said it should of been Google's.
Google wants to cheat.

I replied it should of been Googles idea.
And charged 100.00 more.

But what do I know I just got out of bed.

Mine is starting to get into a rhythm. 17hrs. 5.5hrs of SOT and 20% left.

Allo was super draining my battery it used about 34% of my battery so I have to handle that.

I never replace batteries anymore...I just replace phones.

In 3 or 4 years they will be cheaper though. :)

After having the iphone X I plan to do the same
I have stopped displaying battery percentage on my status bar on all my phones from around a year or so and never have been much happier. No more battery anxiety, most phones I use lasts full day, I charge when I get a chance etc. Overall battery life has been fine and lasts me full day on my Pixel 3 XL as well.

Better battery life here.
Had the Pixel. Then the Pixel2, a bit better, and the Pixel 3 is better yet.

This is my first full charge/use on my Pixel 3 non-xl. Do these numbers look normal? A lot of time spent messing with settings/getting used to things, not a ton of app use. The pixel launcher, phone idle, network standby, and android system all came up on the list and didn't know if that seemed problematic. (I don't use AOD)

Additionally, I lost about 5% battery during the night in which I keep the phone on airplane mode/dnd/lowest brightness/night light, does this seem normal as well?

So I'm starting to get 5.5-6hrs of battery life. The other day u was on track to get 8 but... Didn't happen. Haha

I'll take 12hrs of battery today with my 5.5 hours of screen.. Did a bit of GPS

Things were going really well but had my first problem today. Pixel 3 XL dropped to 8% and I unlocked the screen to check something. Tapped a folder to access an app and the screen was unresponsive. Screen then turned black and wouldn't turn back on. Plugged in the phone but nothing worked even after 5-10 minutes of charging. Finally had to do a restart by holding down the power button for 30 seconds. I expect that to happen at 1-2% but not 8%.

my first night was horrible but i used it A LOT and put it to a lot of work (issues trying to download music from Apple Music, figured it out). I think i got 2.5 hours SoT but im not concerned, i have confidence after a few days it will learn.

Well, I'm doing great after disabling AOD. Right now, with 8% remaining (I don't normally let it get that low, just wanted to see what I could get) it's been off the charger for 30 hours with 3 hours 20 minutes SOT. Not too shabby for a regular Pixel IMHO.

Ya i also disabled AOD, not really to save battery but i just dont need it on all the time...raise to wake or double tap is more than enough for me. Ive noticed better stand by time with it off.
