Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro beta

Seems to me that the "screeching sound" may be what I experienced once yesterday morning. I blamed it on a poor signal, as I was in an area that normally has terrible reception. Maybe there's more to it.
When the screeching sound happens we need to run a big report and send in an issue report to Google.
This has also been reported on Reddit.

Except I have had the same issue with feedback app as other people on Reddit. Will not submit the feedback.

OK. Now I am having a big issue with my calls. They either go silent on both ends of the call. Or they get interrupted with a horrendous screeching sound. Anyone else having this problem?
Pulled my sim outta my S22U and popped it in the P6P. Was chatting it up with moms when this happened to me...hung up, called her back. After a few minutes, got the dead silence on both ends. Hung up, submitted problem via the feedback app, pulled sim and back to the Ultra.

Yep exactly the same issue talking with my mum, my daughter, my husband..... And so on.

Just an FYI: The screeching sound and call fade happened on wifi calling, not cellular.
Did you update the Feedback app?

Yes. Beta has been rad stable! (QPR3 build currently)
No screeching or dropped calls so far.
Didn't have a problem with the regular public build, just wanted to try the betas.
I'll just sideload the public build if I want to go back. 30 minutes and so easy a caveman can do it!

I was on the beta the last time the screeching sound happened. I don't actually talk on the phone much, but it's still annoying when it happens

Nope it failed and kicked me back to the beta. I didn't sideload as it was overnight for me and I have been at this since 3am. Setting it back up. Given up.
What you experienced is being reported all over Reddit. Try ADB side loading. Can't hurt but some people have reported trying it and it failed due to the date of update being older than your installed version.
You may have to resort to using the Android Flash Tool. Never used this method.
Of course you could just skip the 12 update and go to A13 Developer Preview 2. It is working great on my P6P and P4a. No phone wiping needed.
