I strongly suggest people learn how to sideload updates. You'll never have to wait again. It's not that complicated. If you're going to buy a google device, learning how to flash and sideload will really enhance your experience with current Pixel and all devices from google.

You can pretty much expect the average Pixel user to not be interested in side loading and flashing. I think it's good enough to wait a few days for OTA. The only thing that makes many of us anxious is our constantly reading about 7.1.1 and Pixel. LOL, it would make anyone anxious, but not enough to do the nerd stuff.

I'm really happy to see that finally xverizon hasn't stuck their head into the update if one of their phones. Finally. This is one of the reasons I chose the pixel over the Moto z force

I sideloaded the Canadian leaked version a few weeks ago. I just got another 41.8 MB update, installing now.

Sweet, I did the same thing and was wondering if I could wait for an update of if I should just sideload the new version. Hooray for lazy method.

Located in Texas and bought my Pixel through the Project Fi site. Checked for the update last night and got the "No updates available, you are current on 7.1" screen. Seconds later I got a notification that 7.1.1 was available.

I have a best buy purchased Pixel XL on T mobile and have not gotten the update (actually we have 2. My wife hasn't gotten the update on hers either).

Got the update a few days ago . My. Battery if draining fasted and. Lately my phone has been getting warm while just doing very basic tasks . Not sure what's going on.

I had a very strange experience...Got the prompt to download the update. All 263MB downloaded, but then it froze on step 2 (and stayed there). Eventually restarted my phone, and now it says no update available and I'm still on the Nov 5th version. Anyone else have this issue?
