Pixel - Signal dropping (Update: Google Knows)

4G LTE still dropping pretty normally or as its been since I got it. No real change here on this end. If I pick up the phone I get it sometimes, setting it down produces different results such as zero bars. Come on Monday!!!

I'm sorry to hear you are still having issues with this. What happens Monday? New phone? I had an XL with some of the connectivity issues, returned it and got the LG V20, which is a great phone. I crazily thought that I should try the Pixel again and luckily got to through Verizon and I am having minor issues with connectivity again. I still have my V20 until my return label arrives but I am going to fire it up and use it only on wifi today along with the Pixel. I may just box the damn Pixel back up and keep the V20.

Have you tried an Factory reset. Sometimes that fixes LTE issues. I had to do an Factory reset with my old Galaxy Nexus. It fixed my issue also if you have Verizon apps on your phone remove the Verizon caller ID.

Already tried that with my original phone and replacement . Zero changes

Ineligible for new phone this is my second phone and way past my return period. Tomorrow is the software release so I will have to wait and see. Hopefully it will resolve the issue as it did for the Canadians who received it almost two weeks ago

Oh, so it fixed the connectivity issues? Is that confirmed? I haven't been keeping up with this thread. If that's the case, I may hang onto this instead of going back to the V20.

I've noticed about twice today and a few times yesterday, my signal just completely drops out. An empty signal triangle. Then it will find a signal... I'm on Verizon. Has anyone else seen or had this issue?

Wondering if there is something messing with signal locks in 7.0?
I have the Zforce on VZW... I have been noticing for over a week that the 4g will go out randomly and I'll loose all data... But the signal bar stays 100%. It seems to come back after a few minutes... I had the note7 prior, and never saw that at the same location.... Didnt see it before the OS update on the Z either.....

Re: Verizon Pixel XL - Dropping calls?

I spoke to soon. Mines back to its old tricks. Instead of doing a WiFi call, it's back to cellular network not found.

I have been following a forum for those in Canada that have received the update and those with dropped calls and 4G lite connectivity issues stated that the issues went away with the latest update. Hopefully this will be the case tomorrow here in the US as well or Tues when we get our update. They did not really focus on blue tooth issues but the focus was on the dropped calls and poor connectivity to LTE so we shall see

I'm currently having a problem with roaming. I'm on Project Fi, tentatively, and right now at work it says I'm roaming when I try to place a call. I get the message that I'm roaming and I need to buy a pin card or some such nonsense. I've only had the Pixel since Thursday, but I haven't had any problems prior to this. I did force a wifi connection to call, but the only way I could do that was put it in airplane mode as someone suggested early on in this thread. Then I was able to call out. I still have my Galaxy S7 Edge, and I had no problem making a call. (ATT) I put the ATT sim card in the Pixel and again had no problem. I'd like to give Project Fi a chance, but this is a problem. Any ideas? This is probably a stupid suggestion, but could it be weather-related? It's snowing right now. I live in Northern Illinois, and I will not be able to not have service every time it snows. :( Actually, after typing this out, this sounds like more of a Project Fi problem, but I'd still appreciate any suggestions/ideas. Thanks.

That's definitely a Project Fi issue, not a Pixel issue: https://support.google.com/fi#topic=4596407

Good luck. I shipped my pixel back to Verizon and fired my V20 back up. I think ill be happier.

Thanks! Enjoy your V20 as well. Sounds like a great phone and if tomorrows update does not fix issues with mine, I will be selling and moving on to something else as well

Re: Verizon Pixel XL - Dropping calls?

So what time tomorrow is this update going to drop?

I will be at work so will probably install it when I get home. That is IF I get it tomorrow

Re: Verizon Pixel XL - Dropping calls?

Nope. Staggered by whatever reasoning they use.

The last security update I received the same day it was officially released. Hoping this one is the same way.

This is going to be the "Make it or break it" update for me. If no change to signal and 4G I will be shopping around for something else.

But I guess these are the kinds of things that happen when you rush to get something to the market in 9 months time. I know a lot are like this but the thing that really aggravates me on this one is that this is a phone and Google didn't even get that part of it right initially
