Planning what case to use

I love the leather back, but I'm concerned about dropping the phone on its corner... that's what I did with my Note2 in its first year... and having the glass destroyed.

On the AC editors podcast this last week, Phil mentioned having that same concern (I think it was Phil?) and thinking of using a "bumper".

Is there a "bumper" that would look good, and would not cover the leather?

I like the "air cushion, ultra hybrid" from Spigen (with the clear back), but that would defeat the purpose of the leather.

This bumper case from Nillkin would leave the leather exposed, but frankly I think it would look ugly... but perhaps with the black leather it might work?

Any options? Any thoughts?

I like the diztronic the case always works well for me. Good protection and minimal bulk.

I have the Nilkin for my G3 but took it off after a few months. Protection is great but the overall feel was not something i could get used to. eBay has some slim rubber bumpers for the G3 but while it protects from scratches, but does not give good drop protection (likely to shatter screen). Although this can probably be remedied by a glass screen protector, havent tried it myself.

Thanks -- that's what I was looking to find out. It's mainly drop protection I'm looking for. Maybe a glass screen protector is the answer?

I like wallet cases the best. But with a phone that has a nice leather back like the G4, it might be going naked more often.

it's been my answer, although my G3 sides/corners will wear without a case on.

Wallet cases offer good protection but you never get to see your phone. Since I went over to a bumper case plus screen protector on my G3, I'm enjoying it more.

Says it's not compatible with the leather back.

I am planning to buy the grey plastic back and put a spigen case (they are my favorite) and buy an extra leather back for sprcial occasions (without a case).
Hope I helped!

Hmm can anyone help me, I am looking for a carbon fiber case for the G4 (heard these are lightweight and protects the phone, now what should I look for.

I look in ebay for some cases and in "Material", usually it says "Plastic", now does that mean it is a carbon fiber case, or what else should I look for?
