Portfolio Case for Xoom Suck?

I bought the Xoom hard Portfolio case created by Motorola at Verizon. I can just say that it sucks! Way to tight, felt that it could scratch the xoom after a few uses. Anyone have any other choices? Thoughts on that case?

I noticed this too. I am taking it back and I am going to go with the Motorola gel case.

I saw it at the store and passed. I will use a netbook case until a leather one comes out. I like the book style for the Kindle and would love to see a Xoom one.

Its WAY too rough on the sides. There are these little notches that keep it into place and when taking it off it left light marks (I was able to remove them but still, after many uses, scratch for sure.)

Good:
I like the "rubber" feel to the case. It seems like if you (god forbid) dropped it, that it would protect the Xoom pretty nicely. The biggest plus for me is that I like how the Xoom stands up using the indented areas. The viewing screen and ability to type on the keyboard when propped up like this is wonderful.

Bad:
The case makes the Xoom feel really bulky. It goes on VERY tight. This wouldn't be a big deal except you have to take the case off every time you want to charge your Xoom. This on and off could probably wear at it as tight as it is.

Overall: I'm not sure what I plan to do as I have it out of the case for now while I play with it. I may keep the case until something better comes along. I'm not sure it's worth $40 or even the $30 I paid with my discount.

Thanks for the heads up. Does Best Buy offer a different currently that can be purchased in store? I am going to pick mine up after work and asked them to hold onto a Portfolio case but after reading this I am having second thoughts.

I was not pleased with it too. Deff does not look as nice as the stock photos. I got 25% off it so im just keeping it. If something better comes out ill get it. It does leave little marks on sides but mine wipe off with my finger.

i actually kind of like the portfolio case. It holds it securely, covers the screen when I'm not using it, and allows me to use it at different angles.

I see the marks it leaves on the sides, but they seem to wipe off. Perhaps filing them down could work.

I wouldn't mess with it. You have 30 days to return it. Hold onto it for the
time being until something else comes out. Which should be very shortly. (check ebay). Than return it for a full refund.

Verizon has the gel cases. I'm on my way in now to see how I like it. And those pictures are exactly right. Same deal for me.

I got a knick at the top of the xoom because of the case. Taking both xoom and case back tomorrow and getting a black gel case....

i just took a hobby knife to the 2 nubs that click in to place... works great, keeping this case-

I took a Dremel to the tabs and cut an opening for the ports on the bottom. A design flaw sadly overlooked by Moto. I will post pictures later.

This is the case that is currently available in the Android Store? I was thinking of getting it. I have an all leather case that I bought from them for my Tab. Of course, I'm not getting a Xoom until the wifi only model comes out.
