Handcent doesn't work. I have been using stock and it works just fine. Unless handcent was updated, then please, somebody update us.

Many of us had problems with handcent showing texts as not sent when actually they were. Made for lots of duplicates and was really annoying.

then just use the built in msg thats what i use i us to use handcent but just went back to the regular one after some time

many of us did go back to stock messenger. some of us wanted more features like handcent offered which is why many of us have gone to chompsms cuz it works with the 2.1 leak.

Bank of America app did not work but going online using the phone offers the same thing and just book mark the mobile site.

FYI... found this on another forum... didn't even know I was really having this problem, but since applying this fix my battery life and signal are much better!

Seems as if there is some sort of bug with with Cell standby that causes the phone to lose signal which in turns just kills the battery. To verify that your set has the problem, check the Cell standby info in the Battery Use info. If the Time without a signal is higher than 0% (50% seems to be the norm) than you have a problem.

One solution, at the moment, is to follow these steps:

1. Plug in phone charger

2. Put phone in Airplane mode

3. Put phone to sleep for a minute

4. Turn off airplane mode

5. Unplug phone

I can confirm that this works and my Time without a signal is at 0% for over 9 hours now. The battery life is MUCH better.

do you have to do this more then once or is it done for ever? do you have to do it ever time u charge it or turn it off?

this does work ...... though you seem to have to do it every time you reboot the phone, but I rarely turn it off so thats not a big deal

Interesting.... mine shows 50% as well. Can anyone with a 1.5 set compare theirs?

try the airplane fix... you will see it go down to : 0 time without signal

So I just started using the 2.1 news and weather widget. At first I thought it wasn't all that great, but then I discovered that you can add your own custom news topic. Its awesome! Just type on what you want news about and it aggregates into a screen just like the other categories. I really like this app now!

Is anyone having a problem making phone calls? I dial a number, seems not to matter which way (speed dial, smart search or pressing a recently called number) and it has a uncanny delay. I at first believe I just didn't press anything, but then the phone freezes, and I try to redial and after 15-20 seconds it finally makes the call. I've learned not to react so suddenly to this but it's annoying, this has been happening since I installed 2.1

i did have that problem when I first installed 2.1 but over the last few days I don't seem to be having it anymore. Don't really know why though.

why does the 2.1 facebook sync bring OVER every contact when I try to send a text message.

I only want FB pictures not fake phone numbers.
