Pre-Orders/Stores that Confirm Availability

To those who were able to put down money for a preorder.... did they tell you what the full retail price is going to be?

I laugh at people making appointments beacuse they will not be able to do anything if Verizon doesn't give them a release date. I am very surprised that stores are allowing people to do this yet. Forget any leaks, it doesn't matter. I still have a feeling that this phone will not be out Friday. Some of the indirect stores have absolutely no information for the Nexus. They heard about it, have accesories, but that's it. They have no phones or anything. I don't see the phone being released til later this month. I want one too believe me, but just can't believe people are actually set on the fact that they will have this phone Friday even though there has not been one peep from Verizon.

I haven't heard of anyone putting down any money on these and I haven't heard of any pre-orders. It sounds like reps are taking down appointments individually for their own benefit, not officially through the store. I am guessing that a public announcement will happen later today or tomorrow just to make it official.

I don't want to be negative, but has anyone heard rumors of another 'delay' (though not really a delay since nothing official has been announced)? I just read a few accounts on another forum where people are hearing from stores that there may be a last minute bug that may prevent the 9th rollout.

I have a gut feeling that Lucy is gonna pull the football again.

I just want to say that I travel quite a bit for work and stopped in to 3 separate verizon stores yesterday. I got the same response from all of them, we have no information on a release date and have no pricing details. i called and chatted with verizon yesterday and got the same thing.

I'm calling Shenanigans on all these people that are saying that they got a call from their verizon store saying that they're going to hold one for them etc. I think that's all bull !!

I was about to post how not a single store that I called in central Indiana has not called me. Then a store from Ft. Wayne called back. I setup an appointment for Friday at 9 AM. I was just about to post that when I get a text that then tells me "Well, things might change, but I will call you tomorrow to confirm".

I don't think anybody is for sure, just think they are waiting like all of us. For "the man" at Verizon to officially say what day they can sell the phone.

Yea and might be delayed again..... maybe to intergrate Google wallet lol?
Well I haven't got a call back from the person and as far as I know Friday still is a go so but I'll be raising hell then iif not.

I just got a call and I have a nexus on hold for friday!!!! Woot its really here and displays will be Monday or Tuesday he says.

NYS 4G outage, then asked about Gnex

Apparently 60% of Motorola 4G devices in New York State are having issues w/ "Sim Card Authorization Error. Please Contact Customer Service"

So I called the tech guys at verizon, they gave me the low down on the issue and basically said ignore it. I then asked the guy if he knows if the Galaxy Nexus will be out Friday and he sounded frustrated saying that he isn't allowed to speak on the matter. So I asked, "Would it be worth my time walking into a verizon store on Friday" and he said "most definitely, and if for some odd reason you aren't happy, there are a whole list of less spectacular phones to chose from"

Was that a wink wink through the phone??

Or a "leave me the eff alone." I think all CSRs and sales people are tired of hearing about this phone from consumers chomping at the bit for a release.

We've been hearing this for over a month now. For all I'm concerned Verizon doesn't have and is not releasing the GN until they say they are.

I really hope the GN is able to fill the void in my life left by the anticipation of waiting for it. I doubt it will though.

really? i be the GN calls are about 1/1000 of the calls they get regularly.

While I agree, I'm sure it is also a call that they've been getting since mid-November, and a question they've never had an answer to. So I'd be annoyed, even if it did only consume 0.1% of my daily work.

ya I posted this in the other thread about the 12/9 release being pushed back, but I my VZW store in thousand oaks ca has been telling me all week it would come out this friday and then I called today to check with them again and the lady said it was supposed to come out friday and we just found out its been delayed to an unknown date, I also called another store after that and guy on the phone said the same thing. Oh well bummer

You never know. They get a lot of "I dropped my phone in my beer/coffee" calls, too. Lol.

Actually, I'm a telesales rep at one of our regional headquarters buildings, and you would be surprised at the low number of calls I've taken regarding this phone. What I am more than tired of is all the anger and vitrol being spewed towards the company when there still has been no official release date given.

Buffalo NY store claims to sell them 10am Friday

(716) 835-8533 Blvd Mall store, it's not a kiosk. They said come in Friday morning and the will be selling them. I asked about rumored delay and they said no Friday is the day.

On the flip side, the Verizon store walking distance away said on my next call right after that there is no release date and they have no idea. (716) 831-9100

Well....let's hope that Friday is still a go.

I'm sure this is a major headache for Verizon given they've spent so much time and probably resources telling all locations that this phone is launching on Friday.

With phones, physically already on location, I'm sure many people will be able to purchase on Friday regardless of what Verizon says. I'm also sure many will not get the news.

Either way...I can still Friday happening officially or unofficially.
