Predictions: When will the Sprint GNex be released?

$100-125 port-in credit, and phones can be cheaper with new lines (usually through third-party retailers.)

Thanks, man. I'll remember that when I make the switch.

So anyone seen posters at Sprint stores?

I'm glad you asked! As I said earlier, I stopped by 2 Sprint locations today. The one at the mall, as I said before, is better informed (or less tight-lipped), but they don't have a lot of space for posters. No poster there, but when I asked an employee about it, he said, "They said the 22nd of this month, but I'm still not sure yet." I didn't think to ask who "they" were (Sprint or people like us).

The walk-in store in a strip mall, however, had the poster that we've already seen. It wasn't in a window; they had it prominently displayed inside on the back wall instead. It's the same poster ("Unlimited Google") as the Phandroid article showed. And, like I said earlier, the people at this store are either poorly informed or really tight-lipped, so the guy I talked to said he had no idea when the Galaxy Nexus was coming.

I didn't ask either place about he LG Viper 4G LTE. Green phones are a really cool idea, but it's not a Nexus.

Alright, so I've been a longtime lurker waiting on the GNEX for Sprint. Hopefully they give us some details tomorrow about the official release date since datastorm winners will be announced "at or around" 4/16.

I just find it ridiculous that the nexus is no longer on the homepage, but the scrub LG Viper has been available for pre-order for a week already. I've been waiting to give them my money for this phone since January. What happened to the GNEX being the first LTE phone for Sprint? I'm getting tired of waiting...

That source contradicts a lot of specific information sprint has revealed. I wouldn't put too much stock in it.

WTF!! According to an article the date has been pushed back to may 17th. This is just crazy. Source :'(

Sprint Agent Informs Customer Galaxy Nexus Launch Date is in May

I wouldn't worry about it either. his "source" sounds like someone from the forum hear what a customer service rep day, then post on here. haha, my "source" told me yesterday that it will come out on the 20th this month. you don't see Phil post that on the front page. customer service contradict each other's info all the time.

Anyone see anything go up at sprint stores yet? I'm already shopping for cases and screen protectors. Does anyone know if it's the same dimensions as the Verizon version?

I drove by the closest Sprint store to me this morning and the Galaxy Nexus sign was already hanging in the window. It was closed & They weren't even scheduled to open for 2 more hours, so they must have put it up last night or something.

Should of took a picture.. :(

Monday the 16th is supposed to be the day they pick the winners of the 30 Galaxy Nexus Giveaways by Sprint. I would think the rumor of the release on the 22nd has to be true.

Oh No! I would have stated that if it said a release date. It was the exact same poster that they leaked the other day on "Phandroid"

I was about to say the same thing: unless the poster's different than the one on Phandroid, you don't have to bother with a picture of something we've already seen.

While we wait, does anyone else think it's kinda weird that Samsung isn't selling the unlocked GSM version in the US? Only the Verizon version is listed on their US website. Yeah, there are other ways to get it here in the US, but they'd probably sell more phones if people didn't have to go looking for it.

Yeah, I figured it was the same poster, just thought I'd ask. As for no unlocked US version, I think it has to do with the exclusivity agreement that Samsung/Google have with verizon - which is why I believe it has taken so long for Sprint to release it on their network (since they're obviously not waiting for LTE to be ready).

I stopped at a local mall kiosk sprint on sunday in NJ. They had the new signs up and I stopped by to ask about the release date

"do you have the samung galaxy nexus"

rep: "oh yea! the samsung nexus right here!"

"no sir the galaxy nexus"

rep: "ohhh galaxy sII yea.. I have that right here"

"no the GALAXY NEXUS"

rep: "ohhhh" ::shouts to friend:: "do we have the galaxy nexus"

other rep: "we were supposed to get it on 4/22 but its been pushed back to 5/7"

take it for what its worth, I was told 5/7. Could be b/c of the 5/3 sIII conference.

Called my local Sprint store just for sht$ n giggles. They were completely noncommittal but said maybe sometime in May around Evo pre-orders. Who knows how accurate that is but seems like things are pointing toward May.

Doesn't Sprint usually give a lead time of at least a week?

I think (and hope) that with as much that has been seen in print showing that 04/22 is the release day, it would be odd for it to be pushed until later.

Just my opinion, but I am still looking for it this Sunday, unless something comes up before then.

Mav.

Ok realistically Sprint is a business and companies don't make announcement on weekends. So I really hoping to hear a solid date from sprint today.
