Pricing leaks

I can't believe the Ultra comes with only 128GB storage for $1399. I expected 256 for that price.

Another $200 for extra

I wonder how much without 5GView attachment 316370

I thought it was clear that there are no 4G variants in the US at release? I take my words back - if they give 700 to 800 on trade, then maybe I'll reconsider but I don't see Samsung giving that much given the current glut of Notes and S10s on the market. I guess you never know. $1399 is just plain stupid.

So the Shop Samsung App says $600 max trade ins leaving a balance of $799.99 on the Ultra plus a $200 Samsung Store Credit on limited items. This is a hard pass for me. Preorders don't open until 2/21.

It's probably not a US variant

I'm trying to figure out what the difference from the prior reservation to today's aside from picking out a model

Edit: I see it's the preorder reservation.

You're right....the Note 10+ was 256 base. Can't see why a device like the Ultra should start out with 128. 200 dollars more to double the storage is crazy. Also, the trades dont matter if the are regular or plus.

The price is simply too high, especially considering Samsung devices have the reputation to drop months later or be part of amazing deals down the road.

If it was priced at $850 or even $899 starting point for the S20, and then $950 or $999 for the S20+, along with the amazing trade-in ($600 for the Pixel 4 XL), I would have probably pulled the trigger. But the S20+, the model I want, starting at $1200 is just too high. Curse you, 5G.

I'm also turned off that the in-display finger print sensor is exactly the same as the S10, which I have heard and read is a sore point. That's a dealbreaker. Unlocking the device should be a no-thought process.

I will pass for now until the price becomes better. Still a pretty amazing showing from Samsung though. They look like amazing devices.

Man looking at the ultra is very very very tempting, had my finger on the sprint priority reserve tab for 5 min! I just don't know if that price works for me! Knowing I'll probably want the note 20 ultra... If that is a thing. Idk what to do man!

Well, I wish them luck at these prices. I have the money, but it just doesnt feel right. I reserved one in case I change my mind but I'm just not feeling it especially since the base model is 128GB.
It would cost me 800 with a Note 10+ trade. 1000 if I want 256GB. I know the Note 20 wont be any cheaper but I think I prefer the Note if there is one.

Edit: there is no 256 model....its 512
