problems after 2.2 update

Im having some problems with my 2.2 update. I cannot access my sms messages wether it be handcent of the stock messaging app. My gps wont load, my market wont load keep getting error, fancy widget on the home page is blank, none of my weather apps will load. WTF is going on. This update was supposed to make the phone sweet but it went 10 steps backwards wth. Btw I was never rooted and never on a different launcher, the phone was kept 100% stock aside from downloading apps.

Did you reboot to see if that cleared up the problem?

also check your gmail account settings, perhaps something needs to be updated.

I'm using a non-rooted Droid x and I have not had any of those issues you stated.

I rebooted twice an even pulled the battery. I can't even make a phone call. This is pissing me off

boosted i am having the same problem... i deleted handscent and didnt help at all... been rebooting all morning... also tried to clear the cache and that didnt work either. I am thinking of doing factory reset but i would hate to lose all my stuff

That's unfortunate. The only thing you can do seems like bringing it to the VZW store.

Or, if someone posts an update.zip, would the OP be able to re-install the update?

Ugh! Me either. I even checked in the status to see if it just wasn't not showing in the notification bar but it shows discharging.

3. Let go of the Power button, but continue to press the Home button until you see an exclamation mark.

Ok guys people having this problem do what i did and factory wipe it (see first quoted post)... i wiped it (took about 5 min) and then it rebooted and 2.2 is loaded and working fine... hope this helps.. also guys i just wrote down all the apps i had so i could just download them quickly... good luck

Do that or try and re activate your phone that may get your sms and phone calls back I had the same issue with calls and messages yesterday and if your runing froyo no need to right down apps your phone should restore them itself

my texts that i got since the update came through.. just factory reset its a PITA but it worked...

did you try to do a complete factory reset??

I tried to do the *228 and would get nothing. I got pissed so I put the phone down, went back 10 mins later go to unlock it and its on the activation screen waiting for me to push 1. After I did that it works fine now.

For anybody that needs to do a factory reset, I would suggest downloading appbrain first. You can sync it with the market. At least you wont have to try and remember all your apps.

P.s. I have several purchased that do not show up in the market any longer. I had a work around with leaked 2.2. Hopefully the apps will recognize the x with froyo in the next couple of days.
