I wish I didnt take the update... I am half tempted to trade for a Nexus 4G if it wasnt for the whole no SD card thing...

Also does anyone know if its common on the Evo 4g to have your battery drain 10% within 20 minutes of it being unplugged? after that it seems to hold the battery pretty well and I dont really need to charge it for the day unless I am constantly on it browsing or playing games. I just noticed it drops 10% within minutes of being unplugged and its kinda got me wondering.. I have most everything turned off besides Mobile Network. 4g is disconnected, Display is set to low, and I use Task Manager once in a great while to make sure a few programs arent scanning
16 GB built it!!! Do you seriously need more? If you need to take files/pictures off just hook it up to your computer.
How long do you let your Evo sit plugged in to the charger after it finishes charging? If you're plugging it in at night and unplugging in the morning, it wouldn't surprise me to see a drop within the first hour since the charger doesn't trickle charge. If you're unplugging it right after it gives a full charge notification, then maybe your battery just needs conditioning. Check the battery life sticky, pretty sure I saw guides on how to condition it in there.
yeah its usually charged all night while I sleep.. I mean after the 10% drop its kinda goes quickly to 70% but then I use it alot and can make it a whole day without having to charge. Dont think the battery is junk.. im just thinking what you said where the charger doesnt keep it trickle charged.
Thanks for the replies![]()
Less battery discussion and more complaining about not being able to root, please!![]()
I have been going through different people in an open ticket with Sprint regarding this inability to revert to Froyo. They cannot revert it and have no phones without the current software (2.3.3). I was rooted and running CM(6)7 for well over a year and then the famous micro-usb port bad issue popped up so I had to get a replacement...which shipped with this terrible bloated nonsense. Essentially (since this is a business plan) I will either get a Nexus S 4G as a replacement or I will move to our other provider ATT and get an Atrix.I get the update, that makes sense. Go ahead and update the people that do not care or have any intention to root and run an optimized OS. Making the OS version locked and not revertable is ridiculous.
HTC is mostly to blame I understand that, but Sprint SURELY had their part in this as well.
