Pure vs Play (Verizon Maxx 2)

So Verizon is about to sell its version of Moto X Play for $384 (and undoubtedly glued to Verizon).

What catches my eye is the X Play / Maxx 2 battery is rated on GSMArena to be about 32% longer endurance than Pure: 83h vs 63h.

Aside from that Pure compares very favorably. Thoughts?

Pure/Style has a 3000 mAh battery and a 5.7" 1440p screen while the Play/Maxx has a 3630 mAh battery and 5.5" 1080p screen and Snapdragon 615 Processor. As the battery is 21% larger and it is pushing fewer pixels with a slightly less intense processor, seeing a 20-30% difference in battery life would not be shocking.

i just want to know if the 3630mah battery just slides right into my pure...that would be awesom

I'll take the overall features of the MXPE over the Maxx 2, but agree 3630 would be better. How could it not be?
