Question for Sense Scene

Hi,

I'm going to be going from the Pre to Evo 4G (I've already pre-ordered it a BB) but have a question for current android users familiar with HTC Sense.

From what I've seen it looks like the pre-loaded Sprint Scene of Sense has everything I want by default. However, I hate the gray checkerboard background. Is it possible to keep the Sprint Scene set-up but just change the background? Just getting really excited in anticipation of getting the EVO.

You can arrange a scene however you like with whatever widgets and apps on that page including wallpaper.

Thanks for the info. Good to know. The background on the stock Sprint setup is so dull would love to use that setup with a different wallpaper closer to the one in the fact sheet maybe.

Yes you definitely can change the background but android 2.1 also takes the wallpaper a step further with Live Wallpaper, which is interactive. Check out the link:

Are scenes limited to 7? I thought I saw a video someone had a couple additional scenes (weekend, weekday), in addition to the stock 7.

I think you're thinking of the number of home screens... there are 7 of these. But you can have different "profiles" where you can setup different icons and widgets for each profile... like icons and widgets for work during the week and then fun icons and widgets on the weekends. Then you can switch between these different profiles which quickly changes all 7 of your home screens.

Looking at this HTC Sence review from androidcentrel, it looks like there are at least 6 different profiles (Scenes) that you can arrange:

Exactly. The stock set up for the sprint profile looks like it covers everything I would want but for the horrible wallpaper. But that's just me. With a different wallpaper looks perfect. 2 weeks and counting!
