[RADIOS][VZW] Galaxy Nexus Radios and Installation Guide

oh i dunno if a prl change would help then. i think that's more for 3g signal. there's a thread out in the general section i think its called ... *228558 or something like that about the result of member alphanu changing his prl, getting a new sim, and the results if you want to check that out.

I'll give it a try thanks

I'm on AOKP m4, Francos Nightly and went from the unofficial 4.04 leak to the new "IMM76K" - Google Release. I am getting the exact same numbers as before (-96 on 4g, -93 on 3g)

Thanks for the post, hopefully I see better numbers at work (where i really want them).

Quick question.. When I flash the new radios and bootloader will I need to unlock the bootloader again? Wanna make sure I back up my files before I do anything if that's the case

I lost a lot of my 4g spots after flashing to the official 4.04's so I reverted back to the leaked version. I didn't get a chance to see how the hand off was cuz I was too irritated about barely having 4g. I will attempt again though. Anyone else experience anything like that?

He guys great guide like the rest that have been done here!
I am flashing the 4.0.4 now and this might be jumping the gun but i have had the android with the magic in his belly running on the sceen for close to 10 mins now... let me know this is normal, I know you(zero neck) said it could take a minute or 2 but...

Thanks,

With the magic in his belly? Hm. What 4.0.4 did you try to flash? The radios? You did it in recovery (CWM) right?

Magic in the belly when you Flash with CWM the little loading droid in the back ground... usually the is text though?

Ok so little short cut I found out about in CWM if you accidentally hit both up and down at the same time it make the selection button(Power button) not work like it is supposed to... It is now installed thanks for the time dmmarck!
This guy feels a bit silly...:-[

Hmm, I wonder if you just went to the bootloader instead? No biggy, since it's solved. That's why I love having reboot in my power menu. Makes it so much quicker :).

Ok, I guess it's time for me to try flashing different radios. My phone just randomly started dropping data last night (never did before), and I figure new radios can't hurt the situation. I'm on AOKP b36, but running stock 4.0.2 radios.

I have a few questions before I give it a shot though. Can I just download and flash the stand alone radio without having to do anything else specific aside from wiping cache and dalvik? I assume I don't have to do a full wipe or anything, but I want to make sure. The other question is, which radio package from the first post do I want/need? Do I wan the one with the bootloader, or the one without?

Sorry to sound like a n00b, but I've never flashed a radio before, and don't want to mess things up.

Grab the package with the bootloader, they are updated together and should be kept on the same version. No need to wipe anything, just flash it. The CDMA radio takes a solid minute or 2 to complete as well, so if it looks like it froze just wait it out.

Thanks. I appreciate the quick answer. I'll flash it now and see how things go.

Like I said, they are updated together by Google for a reason and both should be kept on matching versions.
