Random apps keep installing by themselves

This happens to BOTH my husband and I. He has a Note 3; I a Note 4. Hate to say it, but he deleted Avast, and the problem went away. I still haven't, and still have random apps. Anyone else have this experience? Nov 2017

I had the exact same problem on my rooted Cubot Note S running Android 5.1. Factory reset did not fix the problem. Finally installed Malwarebytes and after scanning found a few risky files. Eventually fixed the problem after disabling the Shell app!!!

Shalmu .I m also facing this same problem in my micromax A102.

I have a idea you must try it .It is different from all other comments .

Go to SETTINGS→ ACCESSIBILITY → PROXY SERVER AND TURN IT OFF .
Ok .

buddy there are some random app like parkor girl , aple crash , uc news, and speed booster automatically install i thought let uncheck unknown source but after few minutes it automatically activated nd again again apps are automaticaly installed , i reset device 2 time without any backup nd inserted my sd card , what should i do

I recently encountered this problem. Tried all methods but random apps kept installing. Finally I uninstalled 'ShareIt' app. This was the malicious app which was pushing unwanted malware to my phone. Problem is solved.

In your case, it may be some other app like 'ES File Explorer' or some other Chinese ****. SO take care before installing any such app.
