Rather...peculiar...thing I noticed about the camera on my HTC One.

I just love the priorities here... "Hey guys, my house is haunted and it's messing up pictures I take with my phone... can you help?" "Oh yeah, here are some settings to try to fix the pictures!!!!!"

This thread is making me question buying an HTC One.

I live in an old house with some pretty creepy stuff... And if this phone exposes me to more of that, haha no not happening...

No, you're looking at this wrong... this is a feature. "Oh, your phone knows when you're looking at it? MINE knows when Ghosts are near!!!!"

OP, are you using florescent bulbs for lighting? Those will screw up a picture faster than The Haunted Collector could screw up a ghost show....

Also, you could download one of those ghost detectors on Google Play and find out da' truth!

Just stop taking pictures in your house. Problem solved....

Now that wouldn't be any fun! We are hoping he'll keep taking inside pics and post em' and maybe....just maybe...we'll get to see some old colonial dude in his army duds gettin' it on with some farm animals :)

That's actually pretty far from what I was hoping to see..... lol.

You guys a hard crowd!! :)

How about an apparition of a headless space alien wearing flower shorts and knee high socks??

(My attempt at a serious answer, apologies if not very helpful)

Do realize that the pix outside your house provide MUCH more light for the camera to use, hence better pix there. The difference in lighting level is not that noticeable to us, thanks to the biotech in our eyes and brain to compensate. Your indoor pic looked like a typical poorly lit pic, and the graininess is noise. Do you have the flash set to On or Auto?

Having said all this, I do see that this camera struggles with difficult lighting situations.

poltergeists prefer grainy. Rent the movie poltergeist and you will see. They didn't show up until the TV went to that snowy picture!
Call the midget lady now before its too late!

I have a SERIOUS solution to the OP's problem!

Don't replace the phone...

...Replace your home. Pack your bags buddy.

There is an App for that. Ghost Radar? is the original application designed to detect paranormal activity. Ghost Radar? attempts to detect paranormal activity by making various readings on the device. Traditional paranormal equipment can be easily fooled when simple mundane bursts of normal energy occur. Ghost Radar? sets itself apart by analyzing the readings and giving indications only when interesting patterns in the readings have been made.

But what if the ghosts are in his phone?? Then wouldn't they follow him wherever he went? The only solution is to give his phone to the horrible tv show... "The Haunted Collector". They will gladly take his phone and enjoy it. OR he could just call Jay at "Ghost Hunters!"

BTW, new Ghost Hunters season is 6/12 !! Woohoo! I'm psyched!
