I tried that on Google Messages but RCS still doesn't work for my Verizon S20+, am I doing something wrong? Or do I just have to wait for the update?

I'm on Verizon and have S20 Ultra. RCS is working using Google Messages. Unless you have friends who also are using Google Messages and you're certain they have RCS activated, carrier services installed, etc, then the only way you can tell if you have it is by going to settings > chat features > then the top line should say "status: connected."

It took me awhile to get a few friends to start using Google Messages to even prove I have it.

Also when actually sending RCS, your message bubbles are a dark blue instead of light blue.

Ironically it started working later on in the day but I'm still waiting for the Samsung Messages app to get RCS to work.
