Reason for Buying S20

I think with this particular update that Samsung is really making some major advances with the S20. To the point that it’s not an “S” year to borrow from the iPhone for the sake of comparison.

I’m very tempted to get the S20 and the only thing I can think of that might stop me is how well the fingerprint scanner performs. Beyond that it looks pretty sweet.

Because my Galaxy S10+ that I pre-ordered has been trash since day 1. I just got terrible service from day 1 and kinda lived with it. Then I found the workaround and it works great but the phone gets super hot really quickly. I'm hoping the G20 will be a better phone experience overall for me plus I have Sprint and can upgrade every year for free.

Camera! I’m a long time iPhone user. Finally making the switch. Allthough I’ve had no probs with my iphones. But want a better camera. And I always fall for ohhh the next iPhone camera is better. I can’t tell!
Allthough not looking forward too learning how the iOS navigates. But willing to learn and make the switch.

My reasons for buying the S20 Ultra seem to go down as the rumored price goes up! lol

If you are not the type who wants the latest and greatest the Note 10 or the S10 series still run buttery smooth unlike any Samsung before. Still feels like new day one phone in terms of how well it runs. But I need that Ultra so nothing is going to stop me

The only upgrade from my Note 10 plus I would consider is a massive camera upgrade. The phone looks very much like the Note 10 plus as it is. They just added the ugly rectangle around all the cameras like other manufacturers have.

I'm going to wait this one out to see if Samsung really did improve the camera software and maximize the new camera system. If their software remains the same but with just new gimmicky hardware then it'll be a shame.

Agree. The fingerprint sensor ruined my experience with my S10+.

Finger scanner was first generation, Samsung have had a year to improve it..... But with the size of the Ultra we might need 2 hands to hold the phone or use your whole palm to unlock the phone lol

Personally I've got used to it... What I could never understand was the what was Bixby..!

There's only one reason I'll buy the new S20 and that's if it's got better battery life. With 5G, higher screen refresh rate, bigger screen I hope the battery life can hold it together.
I don't think Samsung is too bothered with battery life. I feel they go for short term glory. I Heard good things about the iPhone 12 Pro max battery life. If the s20 can't match the battery life that's a fail. Will not trust specs to live up to expectations. My S10+ battery life was a let down after a few month.

Am guessing most people will be getting one for the Camera?

It depends on what model you are going to get!

Maybe Sprint is the reason why you got all the problems? Lol
What phone are you going to upgrade?

Because I regret trading in my S10+ for the Pixel 3axl. I miss the overall build over the plastic Pixel. The Pixel has a great camera, but lacks the storage and ram I need. 64 GB just doesn't cut anymore... unless it's a iPhone than it's ok...lol..😉

Fair enough, geting the s11e?

I have the Pixel 3axl and I wonder how that compares with the Pixel 4? If the Ultra is way out of line price wise I might get the +model. I got the S10+ last year and I was satisfied with the camera on that.

If you use the trade-in promotion, It wont be too expensive!
