Received 5.0.2 today

Got mine fine. Like others, install took about 15 minutes and no issues. It does feel snappier and smoother.

Received 5.0.2 notification. Asked for download and restart. Asked for install and received little green man with ERROR sign. No explanation. My settings shows 5.0.1 and "You Are Up-To-Date".. Very professional. I guess no update for moi.

Got mine yesterday and there's no question that it is MUCH smoother. I have about 150 apps installed and it used to lag a LOT switching between large apps. Now everything is as I originally expected. Now awaiting 5.1.1 that's supposed to be rolling out today (so it can screw it back up!).

Today (05/07/15), got the same UPDATE over the air for android 5.0.2 on my Nexus 9.

Accepted - downloaded, and then hit the shut-down/restart tab to install.

CRASHES! Error message soon after the install starts.

Tried it 3 times during the day (a.m., afternoon, and late p.m.).
Won't install. Freezes out with ERROR! message.

Come on GOOGLE! I am trying so hard to "like you."

I received the update when I got home tonight. Seems much smoother now. I can't wait to see what 5.1.1 brings.

Seems to have fixed the redraws, my single biggest complaint...

It's been a few days since I last used my Nexus 9. I picked it up today and noticed I had an update 5.0.2 ready to download. Is this old news? Last thing I knew was that the Nexus 9 was stuck on 5.0.1 until they would update to 5.1.1.

Mine had one redraw after running chrome for about 20min and hitting the home button. I'm not surprised since this wasn't supposed to fix that, 5.1.1 hopefully will.

Tried at least 8 times to load 5.0.2 Keep getting little green man error message. Tried wiping cached data a couple of times and still get the dead green man. I surrender.

Are you rooted? Or have you rooted the n9 earlier and then moved back to stock - maybe there are remnants of root stopping you.

I have the same problem as projecto. I keep getting an error as I update. Was previously rooted but did a clean uninstall using super su.

I wouldn't know how to root anything.
Don't even know what it means.
I don't know whether to ask for a new unit or wait for 5.1.1 to see if that loads and fixes the problem.
