red star icons instead of site icons in bookmarks

Loaded up my new Note 3.
All the bookmarks i have as shortcuts on the various screens appear as a red star, with the site name below. I want to be able to see the site icons.
What have I done wrong and how plese do I fix it?
One or two apear ok but the majority do not.

Welcome to Android Central! I think I responded to your initial question in Ask a Question. Do the shortcuts change after tapping them? It may be that the system needs to access that site first in order to obtain the proper icon.

When I tap on the "star" the website opens ok. It is simply that the site logo/avatar/icon ir not present.
