Registration for "immersive Gear VR experience for $99" - How did it Go

Issues and Samsung seem to be a common theme. At least some of you have confirmation emails of approval. The only email I have gotten is I've registered email. Online it shows approved but does not say for just the vr or the bundle as I was able to check the bundle box when I registered. Called Samsung, on phone for almost 2.5 hours and was told that I am getting the bundle and I should receive the email in couple days. Will see, but not holding my breath.

I've thought about getting Samsung premium care, but the way they handle their sales and promos I'm thinking I will skip the premium care headache, don't want to sit on the phone for over 2 hours if I need to file a claim and then hope it goes thru
 
Well if your name is Paul, I got your email from prize logic. I have never contacted Samsung thru email or chat, so this company is really messed up.

What in the world is the Dream Offer?
 
To be fair to Samsung, they said it would take 6-8 weeks. Expecting shipping in less than a week when they quoted 6-8 really isn't fair to Samsung.

idk it just seems fishy that everyone else that locked the 99 bundle but a handful are getting their packages this week. makes me feel like I messed something up during the process. I don't want to find that out 6 weeks after.

Not me, I'm still picking it over here with no shipping or tracking info. :-\

Actually, I believe the 6-8 weeks was for the free VR. The order page when I submitted said ships in 1-3 business days. (which is more appropriate for something I paid for)

Thought I'd share and Vent: Submitted for two promos. Both promos I used the same receipt from buying two phones. First one rejected with invalid purchase date, resubmitted with email receipt instead of website pdf. Second one never rejected.

Now I missed the first Full VR experience promo because Samsung rejected my rebate and they show I only selected the VR gear. The second phone shows I qualified for the full VR experience. Although its been five days since its been approved I have not received an email asking for payment. I guess I was lucky T-Mobile sent me the phone last Wednesday and I qualified hopefully for one full experience.

I do feel Samsung played the bait and switch. Hopefully they get what they desire and get some bad PR out of this. To advertise a promo for weeks across many retailers and to have the promo sell out with a few thousand giveaways on the first day leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. I will think hard about future purchases with Samsung.
 
On the phone with Samsung now. Lets see what they say just to transfer me. Chat is of no help at all.
 
My request had been received. And they sent me a email saying it had been denied.
That I could reapply.
It was tough the 1st time to go threw all the hoops.
And I bought 2 S8+ phones the 1st Day.
If its that tough to get a VR viewer from Samsung when I buy at least one phone every year.
They can keep it. I will not buy it.

Wow what on hold it tells you that the Immersive is no longer available. They took my money they better have one for me.
