I've been noticing that sometimes my Epic just doesn't like Wifi. Certain apps like email, text, browser, some games, etc just won't connect while on Wifi. Toggling out of and back into Wifi helps sometimes, and just switching to 3G only works all the time.

Anyone experiencing problems like this?

I know it isn't the Wifi connection itself, because it happens on all wifi networks, and my computer at home is on the same wifi network and runs just fine.

To be honest, I never used wifi on the Epic, just 3g. Can't help you out here unfortunately, however, I do believe that I had a similar issue once when I turned wifi for a really short while. It is mostly likely a software issue and not a hardware problem.

You are not alone, I am on my 4th Epic and every single one has had the same Wifi issues. It doesn't matter if it is a secure or unsecured connection, it just stops working after awhile. The only solution is to turn off Wifi and turn it back on; however, the issue just happens again after about 10-20 minutes.

Weird. Mine used to work consistently. I think this came after one of the updates.

I do have this issue and have to consistently toggle wifi on/off to re-establish a functional connection.

Here is another datapoint. I left wifi on all night while in the desktop dock while running a constant PING via connectbot to Yahoo! and my wifi connection was still functional in the morning.

Weird. Do you think it could have something to do with the new update that allows wifi to sleep properly? Maybe it doesn't 'wake up' properly now.
