Ok, so, if I connect the bionic to my wireless network (a netgear connected to a cable modem), the bionic loses all connection to anything. As soon as I turn wifi off, it works fine. I've rebooted. I've deleted and readded the wifi connection. NADA. As soon as it connects to wifi, NOTHING connects. Market, facebook, browser, email....nothing. It has no connection at all through wifi. The xoom has no problems and my OG Droid had none this morning, either. Does anyone have any ideas how I can get this to work? This is highly frustrating right now. Thanks!

Only thing I can think of is resetting your wireless network and then try to connect again sometime mine needs that. If that doesn't work I would try to connect to another network to eliminate that the phone wifi works.

Re: Need Help: WIFI

It doesn't see my other network for some reason. It's a 5ghz Apple router driven N only network. I even tried to manually enter the network settings for that one and it didn't find it. I've reset the network it can find a few times now and it's just not getting anywhere. I'm very frustrated right now.

Re: Need Help: WIFI

You could try doing a factory reset which should fix the issue if its software related on your phone but you will lose everything you have done to your phone. There is also a chance it could be a hardware issue on the phone but the odds of that have to be pretty slim. Maybe wait and see if any others are having the same issue and maybe they can help more.

What is the freq. of you wi-fi, 2.4 or 5 Ghz? Though not Bionic, but in my case, Photon just sees 2.4 Ghz

Re: Need Help: WIFI

I'll try a factory reset and see what happens. I haven't gotten all that far in customizing things yet since, um, wifi no workie. :D Here's hoping that works. It's bizarre since my Xoom and my OG Droid haven't had any problems. Apparently the wifi connection was saved to my google account, though, as it restored it when I signed in on the phone for the first time. I'm going to wipe everything and see what happens.

I have 2 networks. The one it can see and is connected to is 2.4. The other that it can't see is 5. What's odd is that I was able to bring up the router's login page, but, I wasn't able to access anything past the router. Screwy phones. It's resetting now.

What type of security are you running on it? I would get the same problem on my DROIDX until I switched to tkip.

I had it on WPA2 AES, but, I'll give your suggestion a try and see if that helps. Thanks!

Re: Need Help: WIFI

Nope. None of that worked. Resetting to factory defaults, setting to TKIP, etc. If it's on wifi, it will *NOT* connect to anything. This is really ****ing me off now.

Re: Need Help: WIFI

Oh VERY bad! I just fixed the issue. I can't believe my other devices compensated for this nonsense. I had a channel collision between the networks, apparently. It was set to auto. As soon as I manually set a channel, hey look, a network! WOW, that's messed up. Never had that happen before, but, I suspect my network will be a bit more stable now. :D Thanks for all the suggestions. Really appreciate it!
